Oh, the irony....

I've got to say this looks great... Even better than Nick's introductory year. I especially like the bench statues... I always look for those type of things at theme parks. It really makes Kings Island's kids area seem more nostalgic, more classic looking.

I've been wondering, how does this compare to 'The Funtastic World of Hanna Barbera'?

In this Dayton Daily News picture, why does the fountain pool look brown?

You learn something new everyday! I always thought the bottom of the fountain's pool was painted light blue, and the water was clear. Apparently not! hahaha

Oh, the structure is painted, but the water is also dyed, I do believe...

well. i dont think its dyed, its treated like a swiming pool.

It often did under Paramount...it is critical to keep the dye within recommended limits, or it will even stain. It is also possible that the algae preventer had not yet been added to the fountain water...or that the brownish-green color is some sort of weird photographic effect. That last one seems least likely. I bet the water does NOT look like that tomorrow.

i agree, when that photo was taken the pool was prolly recently filled and filter pumps prolly have not been turned on yet
