March 16, 201016 yr I tried looking through the forums to see if I've posted these photos before, but I couldn't find it. I think I just posted a TR of the trip....regardless, enjoy the pics! March 17, 201016 yr Intamin booty juice. Nice pics! What kind of camera do you have? I particularly like this pic as it reminded me of that idiot that claimed it to be a safety issue.
March 17, 201016 yr And it's not just his camera, either. KI Man takes fantastic photos! I also love his captions! Thanks!
March 18, 201016 yr I actually started thinking about what kind of camera was being used. Because, as much as there still has to be some skill by the user, a good camera can make all the difference. For instance. if they were using my horrible camera, these pictures would not have turned out as good as they did.
March 18, 201016 yr There is some truth to that, but still... Give the average monkey a fine Waterman fountain pen or an Apple laptop computer, and it still could not produce a Broadway play with three acts...
March 18, 201016 yr Super photos. Couldn't agree more about Magnum and the restraints-those lap bars feel like concrete on a trimless ride.
March 18, 201016 yr Author Thanks everyone! I use a Nikon D40 with a 18-200mm lense. My aim is to take the best pictures possible, so I can skip editing them. I hate using photoshop, I think it's a way of covering up flaws on a mediocre picture....but it also has some neat effects, but I don't bother using it.
March 18, 201016 yr I love Nikon's, I don't have one myself but my dad has a D90 and when I worked for Life Touch we used D300 with are well over $1,000 dollars. Great pictures by the way, I hate my little digital that I have right now.
March 18, 201016 yr When the job market improves to where I can be steadily employed and can justify the cost, Im going to buy a Nikon D5000... but for now Im using a Fuji S700. Ive never had a problem with it, and as far as non-SLRs go, I think its wonderful. My only issue at all is that it tends to overemphasize red tones, like all Fuji cameras tend to do.
March 19, 201016 yr Your photos, even without words, made me feel like I was there. You did a fantastic job.. I can't decide which pic I love most.
March 19, 201016 yr I thought they were all fantastic pictures, but I especially love "Intamin Hills"...it's so artistic. I don't know the rules exactly regarding taking & selling photos of a place like Cedar Point, but if you were able to sell your work I think you'd do very well. You've got a real talent! ('Terp is 100% right...regardless of how good a camera you use, it takes a real "photographer's eye" to do work like this!)
May 1, 201016 yr Dang Zach, your pictures never cease to amaze me. Really nice and different angles of Cedar Point. My favorite is the one of Millennium through the tree I can't wait to get back there; I haven't been since summer of 2007! On another note, I don't think the size of my thighs will allow me to ride Millennium, TTD, and maybe even Maverick anymore. If anything I just need to get back there to take some pictures. Really great PTR.
