February 22, 201016 yr Got this in the Mail today and saw that Our very own Diamondback made the front cover for Roller Coaster Magazine. Well for some reason the pic isnt loading but if your my friend on Facebook u can see the pic lol
February 22, 201016 yr Great article(s). Really enjoyed their descriptions of the new coasters of 2009, and the Diamondback one was a perfect description of the ride and the impact it had on the park. They forgot to do an article on Prowler, though!
February 22, 201016 yr The Crypt almost got the cover! Just a few centimeters to the right and we'd have had it!
February 22, 201016 yr It's the quarterly ACE magazine. You must be a member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts to receive it.
February 23, 201016 yr I saw this earlier through KI's Twitter page and it go me wondering. Is joining ACE really worth the money it costs? I would like to have some feedback from people that have been members for at least 6 months. I know you get access to their shop and all and you get the magazine. As far as the park perks go, I really do not visit that many parks a year, I know I should though since I call myself an enthusiast. Would it be a waste of my money or is it something I really need to do? I have been contemplating this decision for quite some time now.
February 23, 201016 yr I have been having the same thoughts. At least now, I dont really think its worth my money, but i just dont know. The magazine looks intersting though.
February 25, 201016 yr ^^ I have been a member of ACE for several years, and I enjoy it a lot. If you would not go to the events, it may not make sense for you to spend the $60 a year. Roller Coaster magazine is nice, and the newsletters are interesting reading too. Some parks offer discounts on tickets and season passes to ACE members. Since KI does not do the ACE Beast walkback anymore, it would be a personal choice on your part.
February 25, 201016 yr I was a member of ACE a few years back, and can tell you that for my money, it was not worth it. IMO, ACE wanted way too much for their events, and during the year I was a member, not one ACE event was done close enough for me to go to, so basically I paid $50 (before the price change) for a magazine. I was less than pleased.
