December 21, 200916 yr pkiVortex should get some cred, while i had correct singer with song in my head, the name of song didnt hit me till i saw pkiVortex mislabel the song. i then went to my musical library and listened to the song, just to make sure we were boyth on the same track. thank you pkiVortex for the refresher;) & coasterfreak45 for putting in correct music group for the song i had.
December 21, 200916 yr Every time I ride the train I hear cotten eyed joe. It can get annoying lol I agree. That what ruins the ride for me. Hearing a song like that on a good ol' country train ride. I wish they would just play country or something music that was kinda unknown and put some actors at those buildings and make it a show.
December 21, 200916 yr true that, but the version played on the train is that of dwight yocums. i forget which album it was on but can be found on his "very best of dwight yocum" album.
December 21, 200916 yr Every time I ride the train I hear cotten eyed joe. It can get annoying lol It's track #9 on the Soundtrack they play. I was in the front were the op for the speaker was.
December 21, 200916 yr And technically, it is "Dwight Yoakam" for anyone searching for the song on iTunes, and yes, it is on the Very Best of Album. And every time I hear Cotton Eye Joe, I think of the live shows at Coney. They featured that song in one of the shows in 2003 or 2004. And when you work the Ferris Wheel (right next to Lakeside Pavilion where the live shows are held) as often as I do, the live show songs tend to get stuck in your head.
December 21, 200916 yr And Cotton Eye Joe plays often in entrance plazas at Six Flags Parks....so often that each time I hear it at Kings Island, I immediately and instinctively start looking around for Bugs and Tweety!
August 13, 201016 yr where can you find the version of cotton eye joe they play on train, the train version sounds more "technoie" and would like to find that version
