As PKIVortex stated, Aquatica is SeaWorld Orlando's water park and is located across the street. SeaWorld San Diego has no water park, just a rapids ride and a Journey To Atlantis attraction. SeaWorld San Antonio has a water park incorporated into the regular park and is included with park admission.

That's great! I'm sorry I didn't get to visit Aquatica when I was down there, but if it's anything like Sea World and Discovery Cove, the guests are in for a treat!

Last time I went to orlando I did Aquatica along with Sea World and Discovery Cove with dolphins.

i love Aquatica and I cant wait for the expansion.

Has anyone been to both Aquatica & Typhoon Lagoon? I was just wondering how they compare...Typhoon Lagoon is by far my favorite waterpark (well, technically, I guess Discovery Cove is my favorite "water park"), but was wondering if I should bypass TL in favor of Aquatica on the next FL trip...

When I went to TL I was really young its been a few years ago so I dont really remember anything about it but when I did go I loved it but you should try Aquatica easily one of my favorite water parks.

I have to say, I haven't been to Aquatica (I'm headed there in January) but from what I've seen, I feel it exudes "class." Like, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are obviously incredible places, but to me Aquatica has something they don't. It doesn't necessarily have HUGE slides or some tremendous overall theme that blows Disney out of the water, but I didn't expect it to.

From what I've heard (and going a bit on assumption, too), the "Dolphin Plunge" isn't necessarily all it's cracked up to be since you can't really see much at that speed, but it stands to reason that Aquatica really is a park that only SeaWorld could create - the lazy river passing under the "Shark Encounter"-esque glass tunnel full of fish, the overall sort of theme, the animal exhibits scattered throughout - I think it's, in a way, marketing to a different group than either the Disney parks or Wet 'n' Wild (which is Universal's). It just seems like an incredible place, and definitely a "future of water parks" for more upscale resorts.

Of course, with a very tight schedule on my Florida trip (Universal, Busch Gardens, Disney, SeaWorld, Aquatica, and Discovery Cove), I had no choice but to place Aquatica after Discovery Cove... The day after to be specific, so it may seem a bit lackluster in comparison.

Typhoon is one of my favorite waterparks, outside of Schlitterbahn. Killer wave pool, great theme and atmosphere, unique slides. Blizzard Beach on the other hand, I'm not a huge fan of. The theme is cool, but it just lacks the personality that Typhoon has for me. With that said, I prefer to Aquatica to Blizzard Beach but not to Typhoon.

Aquatica is a great park and definitely had a nice selection of attractions for its freshmen year last year. The theme is somewhat whimisical. Dolphin Plunge is a great concept, but unfortunately it is true that the actual result isn't what you would hope. I find ways to purposely slow myself down in hopes of one of the Commerson's zipping by. When it works, its cool though! The lazy river is nice, in particular I enjoy the viewing of the Commerson's you can get. The star of the park, IMHO, is Roa's Rapids which is the rapids lazy river. While Aquatica does have the typical assortment of slides, it also has some unique features with it as well and I'm happy that the new additions are going to be different than what the other Orlando water parks offer.

I think the thing that possibly disappointed me in Aquatica, and really it isn't a big disappointment, is what actually transpired through landscaping and such. Let me say, the Park really is a beautiful little park and looks absolutely fantastic. I guess the way it was envisioned with concept art and seeing how absolutely STUNNING Discovery Cove is, I expected a bit more. None the less, as I said, the Park still looks fantastic. Aquatica is a wonderful expansion of SeaWorld and it really has only helped firm SeaWorld's presence in the Orlando market.

SeaWorld officially announced the details about the new attraction for Aquatica. Opens in March 2010. Great addition to the Park....

Oh man Proslide is really selling the Tantrums like hot cakes, I can't wait to ride one. I'll never forget riding the enclosed Tornado at Grand Mound Washington in 56 degree water to be the first to ride it after we finished setting it up!

Nice update with picture. Todd I look forward to your first hand review of the new slides and look forward to several visits to Aquatica next Fall.

I was completely impressed with Aquatica when we visited in April of 2008, shortly after opening. I can't wait to get back down there and try the new one out!
