I still call it ecology. From what I learned due to this economy, you can't be too picky about the type of job you do. Better off being open to whatever they have to offer..

how does the re-hire process work?

Sometime in January you will receive something in the mail talking processing for returners which usually takes place in February before the job fair when they allow new people to apply. Basically you call first dibs on whatever is there before anyone else

First, think about what you want to apply for...

-Food

-Games

-Rides

-Admissions

-Trash?

(Am I missing anything?)

Then, go to the Job fair in March and apply. I'm going to apply this year, at Admissions. It will be my first job and I'm actually excited.

Actually if you worked the haunt you automatically get returner status and they should contact you in around January about returning.

You automatically get returner status for Haunt. not for the park in general. They will send you something either by mail or email normally about interviews. I got something 2 years ago, but didn't get a single thing this year about it. And i applied this year after working Haunt the past few years, and didn't even get an interview (i applied after the park was open tho) so its not a for sure that you are a rehire for the summer.

They will probably start accepting applications after the first of the year if they continue to do it as they have in previous years.

Park Services is not an easy department to work for, it's a pretty strenuous job, I can only imagine most KICers could not adequitely complete their job.

Absolutely. For one thing, Apollo has not yet taken over, and may not. Unless 2/3 of the units' holders vote in favor of this thing, it won't be happening. That is far from a foregone conclusion.
