Student ID Discounts to HAUNT this Thursday (10/15/09)

Featured Replies

Thursday is High School and College Night at Halloween Haunt. Get in for just $20.00 when you show your student ID at the front gate ticket window.

Makes you wonder how many are gonna show up when they realize that 1) they have school the next morning, and 2) there's a 40% chance of rain tomorrow night.

yeah, and thats if they don't pull a fast one and close the park again... ill be there, if it is open...

If you do please post a mini trip report. I'm curious to know what rides will be open with the cold temps as I'm going on Friday.

If they don't close the WHOLE park down, I can definitely see a few of the mazes closing down early for the night like on Sunday night. You may also notice a shortage of monsters in the later hours of the night on Thursday/Sunday as many are minors and have to leave at 11pm.

i wouldnt mind if they closed a few mazes down early. if it is to open, i would expect it to be incredibly empty, which is exactly how i like it and we should be able to do everything that we want before then. the only ride i care about riding is The Beast, but i will be watching, its pretty obvious when rides are down as it gets eerily quiet.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the park not open again tomorrow, honestly. It's going to be cold and possibly rainy.

However, if they are open, I still think the student ID discount is a wonderful idea, especially as that's the crowd Haunt seems to attract the most of.

Lets Keep our fingers crossed that the park is open tomorrow night.

Keep in mind that Terpy has stated many times that he has ridden Beast while it was snowing.

True. But has he mentioned any of the others? I would imagine Racer will be running, since it's also a wood coaster. Add Flight of Fear to that list as well, since it's indoors.

Vortex? Firehawk? Stunt Coaster? Invertigo? Diamondback?!?! I'll be interested to see if any of these are operating.

Also keep in mind that they started initial test runs on DB after being built in about this type of weather, if not cooler. So I don't see why it would not be running. Just my thoughts, I could be wrong though!

This is the best news I've heard all day!!!

That's the worst news I've heard all day! ;)

...in the Paramount days. Not in the Cedar Fair days. I can't think of any Cedar Fair coaster I have ridden in snow, sleet or ice...

Now, the Georgia Cyclone? That's another story...or Blue Streak at Conneaut...
