August 2, 200917 yr In appearance, and perhaps in other ways, too: http://mobile.visitkingsisland.com/public/visit/schedule/ I find this far more functional than before.
August 2, 200917 yr I like this calendar this way better. For me the old calendar started on December 1970 and if I wanted to look at it I would have to scroll through pages of years and months.
August 2, 200917 yr I have noticed this too, and also find it much more functional and easier to use. I hope this is a step towards a website re-design. I look at Cedar Point's amazing website, not only much more user friendly but also much better looking, then I look at the Paramount Park websites, which look like they used a premade template and used their own colors, and I think "Can't you just sit down one day and actually go through the trouble of redesining it?" It must not be that hard.

As far as the calender goes I agree that it looks good and is the step in the right direction.
August 2, 200917 yr Author Cedar Fair has owned Kings Island since June 30, 2006. At this rate, perhaps the new website will be done before the park changes hands again. Maybe.

The "PKI" website is significantly worse than others including Cedar Point and the fact that the templates exist for the pages at Cedar Point should actually make it much easier to copy for KI. While maybe not doable in a day, it could probably be done by a small team within a month - certainly Cedar Fair has had plenty of time since purchasing the old Paramounts parks by now.
August 2, 200917 yr ^expecially when they have already re-designed Cedar Point's since they bought the paramount parks.
August 2, 200917 yr KI's website is absolutely horrid. It's darn near impossible to find any info, and it's never updated.
August 3, 200917 yr I did find the new calender a littl emore functional, and better looking. However, i dont really use it that much, so it doesnt really make much of a difference to me. I kinda liked the old one.
August 3, 200917 yr & where is the Webcam??? http://web.archive.org/web/20010204042200/...ions_webcam.jsp Oh no! Delirium has been removed, and King Cobra made a return!
August 3, 200917 yr Nice find! Looking at the PKI website back then made me realize that although our KI website is bad the old PKI one is far worse. Assuming that is the old PKI website...
August 3, 200917 yr ^ They should use a layout on KI's website that's similar to the one from 2001 IMO.
August 3, 200917 yr I like the new calendar. It's more like the ones that almost every other amusement park uses, and it's a lot easier to find what you need. Simplicity rules!
August 4, 200917 yr man, that 2001 website archive is amazing! i love how Son of Beast is their signature attraction. ive honestly never seen that picture of the train in the loop before, its pretty cool.
