Weather isn't looking good

Featured Replies

As some of you know, I leave from Louisville to Kings Island tomorrow for my 2 day trip. After noticing the cold front has stalled out, I knew it wasn't good. We have storms all day and it has been raining most of the day out here. I checked the weather for Kings Mills on Thursday to see that it was going to be in the lower 70s and T-Storms for the entire day.

I was planning to do all my coaster riding on Thursday and hit the water park on Friday, but if thunderstorms are rolling through all day then they can't run the coasters. There are no shows going on so I feel like Thursday is really going to be a mess plus my girlfriend has caught a nasty head cold.

I'm still heading up there and just hoping for the best... dry.gif

don't fret. Its nice ahumid up here now. It hasn't rained yet today, and i think the primary threat for the rest of the week is late afternoon T-storms, from the convection and heating during the day. I don't think it will be a total wash out.

ohmy.gif I hope it doesn't because I'm going tomorrow. But doesn't most of the rides stay open intil it starts lighting and thundering?

Yeah I dont think I'm as worried about it now. It was supposed to thunderstorm around here all day and it mostly did in the morning. Thankfully it cleared up and is actually mostly cloudy with a few pockets of sunshine...

Coaster-King, yes they only close rides if its thundering and lighting, but it was calling for thunderstorms which could be severe.

Look for the guy with the short hair, wearing either a white Golf Discover shirt or a faded Son of Beast shirt. Hopefully I notice some of you guys at your stations.

We also close the rides if we get some really, really heavy rain like we did a few days ago... an inch every twenty minutes!

Hopefully things won't get bad, I have to work on Friday (I'm working the picnics if anyone will be walking by the grove from 10:30am till whenever give me a wave... I'll be the only Security officer at the grove gate). I'm also working Saturday - Tuesday. Lots of work, but lots of fun! Of course, if it rains it won't be as fun.

I checked the weather for Kings Island area. It said that it is suppose to be isolated showers. But Some Sun. I hope of alot of Sun. But if it does rain it is supose to sprinkle and be in the 80's. biggrin.gif
