July 12, 200917 yr All I have been talking about is the SOB closing. Needless to say, my parents want to tape my mouth shut sometimes. I always talk to my parents about Kings Island and they always say I don't care lol
July 12, 200917 yr My mom hates coasters so I think it gets annoying, but me and my dad can carry a conversation.
July 12, 200917 yr My mom hates coasters so I think it gets annoying, but me and my dad can carry a conversation. If they do talk to me about Kings Island It's probably about rides from the past like The Bat and King cobra.
July 12, 200917 yr Author OMG, me too. My mom is so mad at me for JUST talking to her about King's Island. She started lecturing me on how I'm always obsessed and worried about things.
July 12, 200917 yr Quit talking about Kings Island for a week or two and then maybe they will take you.
July 12, 200917 yr My mom used to ask constantly if I would ever grow up and outgrow my obsession with parks. Lately, she's finally stopped asking, and even asking when I am going next where!
July 12, 200917 yr ^Same here, my parents can get pretty agitated when i start talking about ki...sometimes they even seem surprised by how much i know about the park and its history, i guess that it is the ideologists like us who keep the spirit going and the park evolving around our and the the public's input
July 12, 200917 yr My parent's get annoyed about me talking about Kings Island and Coasters in General. Literately everything she talks about or mentions, I try to relate that to Coasters. I'm bad about asking if they will take me to KI, so I just keep talking about KI and think they will say "If I take you to KI will you shut up!" But they never do, they just change the subject or roll their eyes.
July 12, 200917 yr I hate driving so my dad is my provider of transport. Since we have gold passes, he will take me there anytime I want. As long as he isn't working.
July 12, 200917 yr ^i know right....anyways back to the original question; just be patient. Maybe make some side money somehow and make plans with a few of your friends to go sometime, you could even do what a lot have said and save money or ask for a pass for your birthday or christmas. Passes are truley an incredible value. I saved up some money from working and bought my pass for this year.
July 13, 200917 yr ...I saved up some money from working and bought my pass for this year. That's what I did, too. And one for Flags, Busch, Camden, Dollywood, uh...I think I had best stop now!

July 13, 200917 yr Author Yep, we will get a season pass, and my parents said they'll take me in August. I'm trying to see if any of my friends will take me within the next week, because after that I'm off to camp, and I want to TRY to go twice. But ill be lucky to go once
July 13, 200917 yr This is sooooo wrong. On sooo many levels. Don't make it seem like you're wanting to kill yourself over a theme park. I'm suprised no one has said something like,"No it's an amusement park."
July 13, 200917 yr Thankfully my parents are enthusiasts too, but not as much as me . I only have my trusty Platinum Pass this year, but Ive made it to HW, DW and Noah's Ark (waterpark) in additon to CP and KI so its been a good year. I also will have one more trip to HW this fall and if all goes according to plan Ill end my season at Valleyfair! and Nick U @ MOA and who knows depending on where my football team goes for a bowl, Disneyland and Knots is a possibility. Next year Disney World and Universal are in the cards, in addition to KI and CP. I will also be moving somewhere next year, so if its not Ohio Ill go to that park too. That said, when I was in high school except for the big 2 week summer vacation road trip (to cities, national parks, historic sites and amusement parks) I got maybe one trip to SFGAm (lived in WI) and Noah's Ark a year. When you get your own money its amazing how many more parks you start visiting.
