Texas Giant Closed for Undisclosed Reasson.

Featured Replies

The park states that the "Ride Cycle was Interrupted" and the ride has been shut down and going through inspection since. I would imagine if it is something serious the ride will stay down until they start the $10m retracking project. This coaster has been so rough for so long now, I really hope the tracking can fix these issues. Anyone that thinks SoB is rough needs to ride Texas Giant, that is truly a rough coaster.

I rode it in May.

It was as bad as I remembered, but not nearly as awful as SOB.

Shaggy

Still stalled; experts blame the weather:

...The experts who are sweating the problem have decided that hot, dry weather caused a "slight misalignment" that led to the popular ride's shutdown Monday afternoon.

"Our ride supervisor noticed an error with one of the cars," spokeswoman Sharon Parker said. "Kudos to those guys. They tour that track every day."

No word on when the ride will be greenlighted, but work will continue "as long as the sun is out," Parker said.

^^^ The Giant is my #2 coaster, but it is by far the roughest coaster I've ever been on
