Will someone help me?

Featured Replies

Im going to Kings Island this Thursday on June 25. The weather says it will have scattered thunderstorms in the area. Should i go on this day or wait until the next week to go?

Also, does anyone know when SOB will be open again because i would like to go on it while there.

Thanks :P

It all depends. Are you from the area? Do you have a season pass? Some of the best times to go to any amusement park are just after a bout of rain because the lines will almost undoubtedly be shorter.

In regards to Sonny, no one really knows when the ride will be back up and running again. You'll just have to wait and see what happens with that.

im not from the area, i live about 3 hours away from the park actually. I dont have a season pass either. That's why i am posting asking for help because i dont want some stupid rain to ruin my trip.

I'd wait until either Wenesday night or Thursday morning, check the forecast for Mason,Ohio, and go from there. The forecast could change dramatically from now until Wednesday or Thursday.

I went last Thursday, that exact same forecast. We had a blast, it did rain for a while though..

That said, I'll be back Thursday the 25th also.

Showers forecast in Mason Ohio in Late June typically last about 10 minutes, clear up, and dry up relatively quickly. Enjoy a pressure wash if you're caught on Vortex, Diamondback or Beast during a downpour! :D

Sometimes, 20 minutes worth of a downpour might make it seem like your day is ruined, but it actually makes your day better. If you wait out the rain, chances are, many people will leave the park in response to the weather which will drastically shorten lines, decrease the population of the park, and give you more chances and more time to ride rides when they open back up rather than if it didnt rain. ;)
