CP Fast Pass Question

Featured Replies

I went to CP back in 2005 and we got our hands stamped for a fastpass on Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force. For TTD we had to wait in a line to get the fast pass. On Millennium Force it broke down while we were in line so they issued fast passes to everyone who was still in line. Are the fast passes still there?

Dang. I am going this saturday and sunday, along with 3 weekdays in later june. This Sunday I am planning to get on Maverick then Millennium Force ERT, then run over to TTD before the park opens. Do you think this is possible?

That would be a negative. They discontinued that system shortly thereafter. I believe that the only ways you can cut to the front of the line now (legally) are to:

* Pay for the VIP pass ($375 per person)

* Be handed an exit pass after being having a ride malfunction on you (i.e., getting stuck on MF's lift), be stuck for a considerable amount of time on the ride, etc.

There are more topics about how to best navigate CP if you're trying to avoid lines, but the one thing they'll all have in common is this...make sure you get to the park early!! If you can take part in early entry at 9 (having a Platinum Pass or staying at a resort on site, including Breakers Express) make sure you do it, as it will save you loads of time. If you can't get in until 10 please make sure you DO NOT go to Top Thrill Dragster first. TTD won't usually run with full trains until at least 11 am most mornings so the line will take much longer to get through early in the day.

We were actually in line when MF broke down for about an hour and they gave us a fast pass at the exit. And yes I have a platinum pass to KI so I will be able to get ERT right?

Correct, you are entitled to CP's platinum benefits as well. If you park at Soak City, you should be able to do Maverick and Millie durring ERT. As for TTD, it is getting better and has opened on time, in fact on Thursday it opened at 9:45 with 3/4 trains! full by 10:15.

^ Yeah, absolutely. I'm assuming you know about the gate by Magnum?* This is the only way to go if you're planning on following your game plan by going to Maverick first (which is wise, by the way) at park opening at 9. Have a great time!

* special thanks to Gigacoaster2K for this advice

EDIT: PhantomTheater beat me to it. Also good to see TTD is running at higher capacity early!

Just keep in mind this sunday the park will be Really busy!

I would say Fathers day tends to be less busy from what I have seen.

It has been that way for years, because Gay Pride is the month of June so that is the day they do it!

From what you have seen, what are the crowds like on Fathers Day?

You will be fine,,,,Don't wear red! Gay people are some of the nicest park guests. Just relax and enjoy your day at America's Rock-in Roller Coast and Ride On!

P.S. Don't feed the bears LOL!!!!
