If we went by that logic, I could say you know it's officially spring when parks start opening.

And yet, on SFOG's opening day, it snowed.

My first day working rides at KI back in 1997 it snow, sleeted and rained all in one day. I was working Viking Fury and I slipped a few times on the platform skylab was so windy.

Man, I'm getting old.

Terpy, who remembers that day well...

Shortly after KI opened in April of 2005, they closed one day due to snow in the forecast. I remember they were announcing it over the speakers throughout the park all day and telling people who had tickets for that day to stop by Guest Relations on the way out for a voucher good for any future date. I thought that was a really nice gesture from KI considering they had no control over the weather.

I remember that opening day Back lot opened that year and they gave out some bogus Coke cups thinking they would be giving out back lot cups.
