May 19, 200917 yr Is there enough to ride at KI to make a 2 day visit? I go to Carowinds all the time, is it close to the same size or a lot bigger? I have a platinum pass so the cost is no big deal, just don't want to be burned out on the 2nd day... thanks!
May 19, 200917 yr Yes. If you go on an empty day, then you only need one. But I remecond you go two days because you get a better feel for the park and you have a lot more time to look around.
May 19, 200917 yr Kings Island is a far larger park than is Carowinds. There is much to keep you occupied. Try to go on weekdays if you can. Do you like shows and attractions, or just rides? If just rides, a single weekday MAY be enough, if the weather co-operates, the park is not super-busy and you don't find a lot of things you want to re-do. Too many ifs, if I were you. I'd plan on two days...
May 19, 200917 yr But Terpy, he might want to look around. Look at all the beautiful landscaping. Mabye he wants to go to BB. By the way, if anyone hasn't seen Down Home Country in the Festhaus, you have to see it. It is really good.
May 19, 200917 yr And Marty's Party is very entertaining, particularly if you have the same warped, dry sense of humor as one particular poster here has... Terpy, fond of marshmallows
May 19, 200917 yr Author Thanks for the info! Going on a Tuesday and Wednesday so hopefully it won't be mad crowded.. gotta ride DB about 10 times! And as for the scenery, concrete , wood and steel rails ALWAYS looks awesome
May 19, 200917 yr Thanks for the info! Going on a Tuesday and Wednesday so hopefully it won't be mad crowded.. gotta ride DB about 10 times! And as for the scenery, concrete , wood and steel rails ALWAYS looks awesome Actaly, Kings Island has some really nice landscaping. I don't know if the Floral Clock or the Bell will be up, but if they are you will be impressed. Also make sure to look at the Tulips along International Street(along the sides of the foutians).
May 19, 200917 yr I would plan for two days. I always plan for 2 days if not 3 for when ever I travel to park. This way if it rains one day you always have the other day or if that sweet ride is down hopefully it will be up the next day. And if all goes well on the 1st day you can take your time taking pictures and videos and really taking in the park. Kings Island you need to have 2 days if your planning on staying in a hotel.
May 19, 200917 yr Indeed, only strange (or older) people like Terpy plan on visits of an hour or less...and then only to parks they have been to time and again...
May 19, 200917 yr Plus you can buy the Pay Once Visit Twice ticket which is the same price as a One Day Admission but you can come to the park another time any day of the season. So why not go a second day!
May 19, 200917 yr Indeed, only strange (or older) people like Terpy plan on visits of an hour or less...and then only to parks they have been to time and again... Don't you go to Kings Island to ride one ride, drive to Holiday World, and then drive back to KI to ride one more ride?
May 19, 200917 yr I've done that before, some years back (and the ride at Holiday World calling my name was raven about it!)...he admitted sheepishly... Terpy, who has done worse
May 19, 200917 yr By the way, if anyone hasn't seen Down Home Country in the Festhaus, you have to see it. It is really good. I could argue that point >.<
May 19, 200917 yr I would go for two days, with the pay once visit twice deal. I don't think you would be able to do EVERYTHING all in one day. Be sure to go on a week day, preferably on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
