I was just curious if anyone had any idea from past experience how busy the first day normally is. I am still deciding on whether it would be better to try to go Friday night and get there at 6:00 due to work, school schedules, etc. or would I be better serrved to go Saturday instead. I am coming from about 90 minutes away so this plays in the equation also. I was thinking Friday but then I was concerned that not everything would be open.

Thoughts, past opening weekend experiences, opinions, etc.

It does sound the like the weather will be better on Saturday.

lisacor, it's going to be good weather Friday as well as the weekend. As of the numbers, I can' tell you what they are expecting... just that opening weekend is usually busy. Saturday might be your best bet, if not only b/c the park is opened longer than 5 hours.

I went last year on Saturday and it wasnt that busy at all. The longest line I had to wait in was TRTR and it was only 30 min.

Ive been working at KI for the past 2 years and i really cant remember any of the opening days. but i think that they really arent that crowded. but i dont know because of the nice weather were supposed to be having, so id just go up there and see.

i was there pass night last year and there was no wait for anything but tr and i think it was closed and they was waiting for it to open and i dont know if it did it was also cold it was like 30 out if you like to ride more than one time on each ride it is the time to go

Yeah, opening day is not very crowded at all. I went last year, TR:TR was the longes wait at 30mins. as stated above.

Typically Opening Saturday hasn't been all too crowded, however like many others have said, the weather will be wonderful on Saturday. That, coupled with new family and thrill rides may make it a little more crowded than last year. But I can assure you one thing, it will be no where near as crowded as good Friday. (BAFFD)

I think that it won't be busy.

Hopefully, Delirium pulls all the people over to it, so that in the morning, TRTR will be dead!

Yeah, it's usually when full season hits things start to heat up. Pre-Season is usually laid back. Go then.

I would go Saturday, you might have to wait longer, but you can definitely get on your favorites more times.

Nah, Friday will be a-lot worse than Saturday. In my opinion at least.
