Wake Nation

Featured Replies

Yesterday a group of KICentral members and Acers were treated to a preview of the upcoming Wake Nation. This is the new water park where wires pull you as you water ski or boogie board.

The park is located in Fairfield in a park-like setting. An artificial lake was constructed for the activities. We were treated to a nice demonstration by the owner and a few others to some boogie boarding. The owner allowed us to volunteer to participate but it was just too cold out. One of the people in our group did volunteer and, after two tries, successfully did a nice boogie board demonstration for us.

After the demonstration we were treated to a nice lunch of LaRosa's pizza.

The nice thing about the park is that it is pay-as-you go,ie there is no admission price, which is nice if you don't want to participate but just watch. The price is $20 for one hour or $35 if you want to ski all day. You can rent skies or boogie boards or bring your own.

I had a great time at Wake Nation. Adam Wasiljov did a great job riding that board. I know it was cold, hope you don't caught a cold.
