April 12, 200917 yr What would I need to make one. How hard would it be. Can you guys give me any info or suggestions.
April 12, 200917 yr Depends.. If you're just trying to make something that looks like it, you could probably just use PVC pipe or something.. but if you wanted an actual "working" model, that would be trickier.

April 12, 200917 yr A lot of time and patience, some mechanical know how, and multiple trips to the craft store.
April 12, 200917 yr The only thing i can think of is using fishing line for the wires. Maybe a styrafoam block for the top. Also, how tall will it be if you do make one? Thats a good idea, but i would be more interested in a model rollercoaster.
April 12, 200917 yr Author I was thinking about makig a working model of the Son of Beast. I was going to use wood that was formed into a small recangular-prism(The supports) I was going to use model train tracks that bend very easily. If anyone has pictures or knows where to get the train tracks, please tell me here! I have the supports coverd. As for Drop Zone, I think my idea will work!

Making a fully working model is no easy task. When I was 11 years old I wanted to make my own model, but it turned out making models is NOT the same as putting Legos together. I would start with pre-designed models before going 100% custom. I suggest trying these out. http://www.rollercoastermodels.com/ http://www.coasterdynamix.com/

As for Drop Zone, I think my idea will work! i've built model trains and train track will not work for your purposes. you'd have to have some forms to work with and build each portion of the track individually. but a SOB model is something i've always wanted to do. maybe once i finish my train set i'll start on it.
April 13, 200917 yr I made a semi working model. I had about a 20 foot tall pvc pipe and dug it in the ground. After that I had a test car make of knex. I never did get the car 100% right. I put strips of sand paper for the fins. I had a small motor on the top that had magentic on it. Once the car made it to the top I had another motor a switched on manually. This sent out the retractable fins out with sand paper on it. This is what funtioned after the breaks. After that I turned the motor on just a tad to push it up against the top. The magentics went up higher than the car could so it dropped into the sand paper breaks. It worked pretty could but I couldn't figure out the car so I destoryed it. Hope this helps.
