Well, ironically I'll use my 1200th post to say that I think the whole post ranking thing is fun, and the ranks chosen by the site creators are appropriate, ingenious and hilarious! Many of the high-number posters have always added real value to the threads (as opposed to few, 'reflective' posters, who fill up forums with echoes like "Yeah, I can't wait!", or "Me, too.", without really contributing to the flow of a topic). (Not sayin' I haven't been guilty of that myself sometimes )

I just say my name at the top of the list for posters today, but didn't think that was possible since this is my 4th post of the day. I guess it keeps a running total over the last 24hr time period. Hum, interesting.

Anyone who thinks that the amount of posts you have matters (and there are clearly several in this thread), needs to watch this now:

Remember, this is not Congress. "filibuster-ing" posts here to be a "top poster" is not going to gain you any respect, and will likely just **** people off. Being new is not a bad thing. If you want to earn people's respect; first of all, know what you're talking about before posting. (remember, It is better to be quiet and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubts.) Do research if necessary. And for goodness sake, make sure you use punctuation, grammar, and spelling. Nothing makes you look more ignorant than a post full of misspelled words, with improper grammar, and lack of punctuation. One or two errors isn't bad, but a post like this:

I joined a little over 8 months ago and have over 1k posts, but that is because I am a very enthusiastic and opinionated person with a lot to say.

I couldn't care less about post count.. I post so much that I don't even realize when I make it to the next level on here. It irritates me how some people think this is a posting race, so they litter the forums with 946 billion irrelevant one word posts, and make it worse by announcing in bold italic 96 point font that "Z0MGZ they has reached they're 100,000th post."

Honestly, who cares? I've seen people with less than 10 posts make a heck of a lot more sense than a lot of what I read on here.

I wasn't saying that. What I ment was that, in my opinion, with the ammount of his/her's post count and the quality their posts leads me to believe "Terpy" is like a "Dear Abby" collum. Now thats just my opinion. They might just be just one person, but im not exactly sure.

Well in case you aren't sure, this thread is simply a place for people to post nonsense to increase their post count. After all, whoever posts the most, knows the most!

I still think that the meaning to this is lost to some cause its per day not since joining. Its kinda pointless if people are taking the meaning the wrong way. If this is the case then the new people wouldn't stand a chance of ranking if it is not based on overall posts instead of per day.

I think the topic is kind of a waste. Who cares who the top poster of the day is. Is it really that important?
