March 21, 200917 yr Which of these is your favorite? If you say other state which it is. Mine is Kalahari Sandusky. Not just for the waterpark, which is nothing but amazing, but the hotel is great too.
March 21, 200917 yr I've been to many, and I have to say even though the rides are amazing at Kalahari Sandusky, it's impossible to get into the restaurants, because when they added new rooms with the sands, they added no new place to eat, and plus the service there is pathetic, so I have to say GWLMason is the best.
March 22, 200917 yr You mean where was Maui Sands. It opened last May and was the fourth major waterpark in Sandusky. It closed virtually without warning in November.
March 23, 200917 yr Go to the Dells, trust me its not over saturated in Sandusky, the Dells host close to a dozen indoor parks (4 major players, Great Wolf, Kalahari, Wilderness, and Mt. Olympus) in addition to their 3 outdoor stand alone parks.
March 23, 200917 yr Location, location, location. Sandusky in mid-winter is few people's idea of a glorious wintertime destination. Nor is Chicago a stone's throw away. Cleveland, Detroit and Toledo have not supported waterparks in winter to the same degree as Chicago and the Wisconsin areas have supported the Dells. Waterparks are very market dependent. What works in the Dells may or may not work in Sandusky, Mason and/or Charlotte.
March 25, 200917 yr I have two favorites. One is the Wilderness in the Dells and the others is Fallsview waterpark in Niagara falls
March 27, 200917 yr I like CoCo Key's water park as much as I do Great Wolf Lodge Mason. However, I voted for GWL because I LOVE the GWL hotel, restaurants, entertainment, and overall atmosphere. And as far as the Sheraton Hotel that CoCo Key is located in and its restaurant, I'm not that impressed as it is business-oriented, not family-oriented.
