March 4, 200323 yr Looking at the new benefits for gold pass members some mention that the first 1,000 Gold pass members will receive a benefit such as free walk on pass on Wednesday or breakfast with the characters. I was just curious how early one would have to get there on those days generally to be one of the first 1,000 gold pass visitors? I do realize that it would vary greatly but just a rough guess or opinion on this would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
March 4, 200323 yr I would say get there at the latest...maybe 9. I mean be at the front gate at 9. Or play it safe and get there at like 8:45.
March 4, 200323 yr Author Matt, You think to be one of the first 1,000 people a person would need to be there by 9:00am? I was hoping 10:00-10:30 would make a person one of the first 1,000 since, at least for the free-ride-pass day it is on a Wednesday. I am not sure as they did not have the day of the week listed for Breakfast with the park characters which day that would be. It just said one day a month. Anyone have any different ideas on how quickly 1,000 people would arrive at the park say on any given Wednesday. Espescially the first 1,000 gold pass memeber since these benefits are limited to gold pass memebers? Thanks in advance.
March 5, 200323 yr Aren't Wednesdays, usually the calm days at the park? I think Mondays and Wednesdays last year were the days where you didn't have to wait in long lines to ride anything. if this holds true for this year, one would think it might take longer for 1,000 gold pass holders to enter the park, but then again I could be wrong.
March 5, 200323 yr free walk on passes for 1,000 people.. thats crazy!!! well im gonna be hearing alot of guest complaining on those days... they just have to make our lives diffucult.. i just hope everyone don't come running to my ride with those darn things :-(
March 5, 200323 yr A thousand people spread through out the park. I'm sure i will be on ridesthat are generally walk ons already.
March 5, 200323 yr Knowing my luck, they will just hang around TR all day. Once one gets off, another gets on. That would really not be good. And probabily, it will be for one attraction only. Not all the rides for the entire day.
March 5, 200323 yr That Friggin Rules! now i can ride Scooby Doo and the haunted Castle once in the morning when i get there! then i can wait til about 7pm or whenever i want! that rules man iam glad i got my gold pass last year! i can park for free now this! nowonder i love PKI they treat there guests with respect!
March 6, 200323 yr Um yeah 1,000 people are going to all go to the same few rides, and mine will be one of them.. There will be 2 lines, one at the entrance and one for them walk-on people. I can already hear the regular guest complaing. Im sooo not looking foward to those days, its bad enough I dreded tuesdays last year!
March 6, 200323 yr The list of rides that this will affect is Scooby-doo and the Haunted Castle, Delirium, Beast, and Drop Zone, according to PKI's website.
March 31, 200323 yr How are they going to do this? I'm assuming the people with the walk-on passes will just go up the exit ramp, right? Sounds like an experiment in fast pass.
April 3, 200323 yr I saw a commericail for walk on wendsdays what in the heck is that. like you said is it like diney and fast pass.
April 3, 200323 yr Can you not read, sorry to be rude, but this is what the whole post is about. I really doubt that all 1,000 will go to your ride, one there are kids that are going to want to ride Scooby. Drop Zone typically has a long line. I wouldn't be really worried about 1,000 people walking on to Delirium, I'm sure KI has thought this out and made a plan where only a certain amount can go on per ride, plus Wednesdays aren't busy anyways.
April 4, 200323 yr Honestly, it would take much longer than everyone is expecting for 1000 Gold Passes to get into the park. At Front Gate last year, the 9:00ers were all not passholders. Passholders generally don't come in until 10:00 or later, especially 1000 of them.
