Pass day only

Featured Replies

When Is the season pass day only? and will they still have the bring a friend free and stuff like that. since last year was the 30th year will they still have it.

It is on April 11th. They will have Bring a Friend Free Day because it brought more money to the park in food and drinks (record breaking in almost every stand.)

So if you don't have your pass yet you can go the 11th and get it at the stand. That's how I allways get mine.

Personally, I HATE bring a friend days. I simply avoid PKI during those days.

On a separate note, is PKI still issuing last year's passes, with "2003" stamped on the bottom? If they did finally run out of them, and issued new ones; what do they look like?

....still glad I got my pass processing out of the way early...

Bring a Friend free day was really bad last year... way too many people. It was the first time I have known them to place "Come back later" signs on 71 before the exit for the park. We weren't letting people come in the park for a couple of hours, it was crazy!

On the flip side it was great for the park and I hope we get another busy day like that again this year.

Hopefully I will be able to work on the 11th... it will be a great time to get back into the swing of things.

I was there that day, capacity was pretty good. And I don't think it's true they turned people away I think they were advising people to come back.

The "Come Back Later" signs are pretty much telling people to come back another day, but we weren't letting people in for a couple hours because there were already too many people in the park and we had to wait for a certain number to leave before we could let them enter. We are only allowed to have a certain number of guests in the park legally before we have to turn people away at the gate or make them wait, and we reached that number last year.

I had to pull an all day last year during BAFFD. Learned my lesson the hard way.

I won't give you a number, but you couldn't wiggle last year at the first BAFFD. The lines were 3+ hours long for some of the rides, and people were EVERYWHERE.

I attempted the last day of June to go, this was on a Sunday, went too late in the day, cars were parked all the way down to the campground and out by the main road, decided to go to The Beach instead. Then was there on the last day of July during my vacation, I didn't expect it to get that busy since it was during the week, let's just put it this way never again will I attempt to go on BAFFD! I felt very sorry for the workers that day.

I, too, made the mistake of going on BAFFD (without knowing beforehand that it was), it was so crowded I almost wanted to turn around and go back to Chicago. Thank heaven the next day was back to normal. I LOVE to see PKI do so well, on the other hand when I only have a week's vacation to take and I have to spend a day driving there and another driving home, we only get three days in the park and it was a shame to waste one. We went to Lone Star and swam in the hotel pool but of course we would have rather been at the park. It was a good idea, but too much of a good thing maybe?
