I read in the Forest Hills Journal that The Cincinnati Flower Show was

leaving Coney for a park in Symmes Township.

That is a huge disappointment!

CI seemed to be the perfect place for the show.

Fun for everyone, including rides for the kids.

On the other hand, it was getting too expensive for a flower show.

Maybe a blessing in disguise?

    This is not new news. It has been announced for several months now. The flower show needed more room, and from what I understand, the Symmes Township park is offering a better financial package for the flower show as well.

    Coney is actually in a way glad to not have the flower show back as it gives them more time to get ready for the kick off of the 2009 season. Instead of having to be ready my mid-April, they have until May 8th with the 40th annual Appalachian festival.

    It's actually good to see the Flower Show go back to a park setting. It would be nice to see it moved back to Ault Park.
