February 2, 200917 yr I know a lot of people are asking for The Beast with old banking,no tunnels etc. So here it is!
February 2, 200917 yr At the beginning of the video as the train is going around the turnaround, you can somewhat see the entrance of the ride. It does look to be under construction when this video was shot. I've yet to see anyone post a picture of the original Beast entrance and I think this is as close as we are going to come for now.
February 2, 200917 yr I know a lot of people are asking for The Beast with old banking,no tunnels etc. So here it is! That was way cool.. Thanks!
February 2, 200917 yr The user that posted that video is none other than this sites own Zoso Beast. That video can also be found on the KICentral channel page on Youtube found here:
February 2, 200917 yr Looks like testing runs and filming for a promo video. Notice they guy sitting to the left in the break house ( I forgot they used to sit there) and how many associates wondering around on the platform.
February 2, 200917 yr What is a "Beast 1979" video without Jackson? Oh, wrong Beast 1979, I'm sorry! 1500 posts now for me, I hope it has been quality!

February 3, 200917 yr It's really weird watching this and not seeing Vortex in the background! Great video!! Spring can't come soon enough!!!
February 3, 200917 yr Have you ever imagined what it would be like if we had the internet back in those days, and got to sit and watch things like The Beast and Vortex go up like we do now? Oh the conversations we would've had.
February 3, 200917 yr I am just glad there was no Internet back in the Sixties, for me to document what a silly little boy I was!
February 3, 200917 yr Maybe if you had the internet you wouldn't have been so silly as you would've been pre-occupied with roller coasters and...such...
February 3, 200917 yr I am just glad there was no Internet back in the Sixties, for me to document what a silly little boy I was! shame on you! although if I were alive during the sixties... we won't think about that!! haha.
February 3, 200917 yr On a couple of side notes... The song at the end (about 3 minutes onward) is the closing piece from a drum corp show, I can't remember the name of the song, but it was the end of "On Air" by the Phantom Regiment. That pretty much made my night when I recognized that, I know I'm lame. And also, I never noticed how the Eiffel Tower pops up directly out of the center of the second lift as you crest the hill. That's really cool, I wonder if that was done on purpose? Or sheer luck?
February 3, 200917 yr yes i dont know what life would be like without internet.. i guess a lot different

February 3, 200917 yr Maybe if you had the internet you wouldn't have been so silly as you would've been pre-occupied with roller coasters and...such... But I was...and how. Terpy, who rode his first roller coaster before he was born, and his first after birth at about age three...on a coaster that now has a 48 inch height requirement....and the little Terpy was probably 3 feet 2....maybe
February 3, 200917 yr Terpy, who rode his first roller coaster before he was born, and his first after birth at about age three...on a coaster that now has a 48 inch height requirement....and the little Terpy was probably 3 feet 2....maybe *gasp* Children doing unsafe things?! What a terrible world...I hope they at least disenfected the bars and sanitized everything first....ahh the good old days.

That's really cool, I wonder if that was done on purpose? Or sheer luck? I just watched that again and saw that. It just pops right up there and it is pretty much dead center. That would be cool if that's on purpose. Kind of like a hidden Mickey!

What a terrible world...I hope they at least disenfected the bars and sanitized everything first....ahh the good old days. Well, back then people behaved. There were far fewer accidents then than now. Parents taught their children that amusement attractions were dangerous machines, and the riders were expected to (and did) behave.
February 3, 200917 yr That reminds me of when my dad talked to me about proper behavior on our way to ki. I will never forget him being so serious and me trying my hardest not to laugh.
February 3, 200917 yr You mean you *aren't* supposed to stand up/climb the fences/anything else the brilliant public has come up with?! Hmm. A stunning revelation.

I wish someone had had that talk with the poor guy that had the accident with Batman. I hate people that do stupid stuff on coasters and act like their life is in no way in danger. As the horrible Capri Sun commercial would say, "Respect the Coaster! Respect it!"
February 3, 200917 yr Don't forget the ever fundamental basketballs! I really need to get over that. but why does the park have to sell those stupid things for people to dribble all through the park??

I really need to get over that. but why does the park have to sell those stupid things for people to dribble all through the park?? I was waiting in line for The Beast and we had just gotten up the ramo and into the station when I saw a teenager walking back behind the station, almost underneath it, to go get his basketball he dropped. Are you kidding me!
February 3, 200917 yr Ugh. Stupidity kills. seriously. I personally love when people act like they are shooting and throw the ball straight up in the air.
February 3, 200917 yr What video are you watching? I do not hear any music in the video that was posted on the first page. I swear it was here when I posted that...It has since disappeared. So I'll post it again, sorry if I'm just blind and missed it.
