January 23, 200917 yr so when all the people go to sprint into the park ... where do they have to run to? Like where is the entrance to Diamondback also sorry if this has already been answered somewhere ... i tried to look Run straight towards Son of Beast!!!!! That way, I won't have to fight with you to get my ride!!!! LOL Really though, looks like it will be over just around the bend from Runaway Reptar Between that, and the Crypt. If they put the path back in around the splahdown, it may be quicker to go that way... Who knows though. I don't think the start of the line has ever been formally announced yet.

I don't think the start of the line has ever been formally announced yet. really i guess it depends on what going on during the wonderful Saturday. I will be running if im there to do it... maybe near where the work site ended? the line would then go right past the turn around and then up into the station ... like Firehawk in reverse
January 23, 200917 yr ya i wouldnt either. i thought 3 1/2 hours was long to ride Son of Beast when it first came out but i guess it wasnt from looking at that line. i would say that line was at least 5 hrs long IF THAT MAYBE LONGER
January 23, 200917 yr WHY IS EVERYBODY YELLING? lol I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'RE YELLING ABOUT!! ...but yeah, I can see the line for Diamondback on Opening Day wind around Wings Diner, the Antique Photo shop and the Icee shop. Then going down the path where cornSTALKERS used to reside, past the Paradise Island stand (that's NEVER open, mind you), past the floral clock and up the worksite path. THEN making a left and going past the Dodgems, wrapping behind the Skyline Chili stand, occupying the Skyline Chili patio, going behind the Scrambler, and around the Carousel. And THEN occupying the entirety of the Paramount Story, before wrapping around the Eiffel Tower and heading past the Showplace Theatre before finally stopping just at the Chick-Fil-A stand. ....that's just a guess, of course.
January 23, 200917 yr Is anyone going to have their video cameras with them? If i'm not working then I will. But that video was just for Season Pass preview night so hopefully the line won't be that long. Plus that's like the only good amusement park in Canada so I really hope we don't have to see that. If we do, I'll be sure to get it on tape. They have to let everyone ride that is in line though right? So if I get off early I'm going to go get in line until I get to ride at least once.
January 23, 200917 yr From looking at that video, perhaps that's why there's no SPPN for DB... there is a Gold Passholder Preview Night on April 17, 2009:
Diamondback first drop done November 11, 2008 Workmen installed track piece #D06 to complete the first drop of the new Diamondback roller coaster at Kings Island Amusement Park Tuesday. The first drop is the longest in the park at 215 feet at a 74 degree angle. There's just 157 more days until the ride opens for Gold Passholders April 17, 2009! See for yourself: http://www.kiDiamondback.com/public/latest...75-99b89c32d2f4

January 23, 200917 yr If you read more of the current blogs posted by Don you would see that, that^ has been canceled! See For Yourself
January 23, 200917 yr It looks like it's going to be another International Street Marathon! And this time the swell of humanity shall flow south-southeasterly, as opposed to the northeasterly Firehawk marathons of the last couple seasons.
January 23, 200917 yr Unless you are the person in the very front of the charging bulls, just follow them. If you are the person in the very front, I hope you can run like the wind or that the park actually ushers people to the ride for a change... Terpy, who has been worried for quite some time that someone is going to be badly hurt in the stampedes to most parks' new rides
January 23, 200917 yr Good thing I'm not going to the park until May 15th. I'm kinda glad hopefully the lines have died down by then. Plus I'll be staying at the KI resort so I'll be going back on the 16th.
January 23, 200917 yr ^^Not to worry, in addition to the future thread dedicated to current/daily D-back queue lengths, I'm sure you'll also see some "I'm at the park, and D-back's line is only a half hour!" threads. You'll be fine.
January 23, 200917 yr ...and some of those threads might even be true. I have seen instances on other forii where people have claimed, for instance, that the Kingda Ka line was 10 minutes, when in fact it was two hours. And vice versa. Any 11 year old with Internet access can post any old thing about lines. May be true, may not be. In any case, even an Internet estimate is usually far more accurate than the signs that Six Flags puts up about line lengths...I swear they purposedly overestimate waits in order to try to sell Flash Passes...
January 23, 200917 yr Same goes for Universal Studios. Then sign said a 45 minute wait for the Hulk. We waited all of about 15 minutes before we were on.
January 23, 200917 yr ^ Kind of like what I once saw at WDW, even though FastPasses are free, of course. The line for Space Mountain was probably 5 feet from the loading gates and I got on in about 10 minutes, and the outside FastPass line read that the line was 50 minutes.
January 24, 200917 yr Unless you are the person in the very front of the charging bulls, just follow them. If you are the person in the very front, I hope you can run like the wind or that the park actually ushers people to the ride for a change... Terpy, who has been worried for quite some time that someone is going to be badly hurt in the stampedes to most parks' new rides yes a person that was at the front of the crowd of running people, but failed to keep up.
January 24, 200917 yr Well, I would certainly be giving more credence to trusted/respected KIC members, and others with a boulder of salt. But all seemed accurate in the Behemoth threads...maybe the Canucks are a more honest breed??
January 24, 200917 yr This ride will attract substantial crowds for many, many years to come. The good news here is it is a huge capacity ride.
January 24, 200917 yr ^^i.e. no Maverick headaches, whose queue will still undoubtly be as long in 09 as in 08 and 07...
