August 12, 200818 yr I couldn't find a thread on this. Kings Island is advertising pass renewal for $80, I am assuming that this is not for the platinum pass, is that correct? http://www.visitkingsisland.com/rsvp/rsvp_form.cfm
August 12, 200818 yr Hey, cool. I didn't even know about this. I'll definitely be doing this next year. Yay, all the Diamondback rides I want. (Line permitting, additional terms and conditions apply, participation may vary, major pumping required.)
August 12, 200818 yr I see where parking is included but are we going through this HH thing again this year as to where it will be a seperate admission? Gold pass is $5 more might be worth it for early ride times on DB next year if offered.
August 12, 200818 yr so, im confused... how much will it be to renew a platinum pass? i would go check, but i dont want to put my pass number and everything in on that form, for fear that i wont be able to renew once i do that, and would have to pay full price... anyone have the tier of pricing for renewals? is it like 10 dollars cheaper?

I think Platinum is $140 for renewal is I remember correctly. Just enter your info, I did it won`t change anything as long as you haven`t purchased them on there previously (I think)
August 13, 200818 yr Interesting that it says that Halloween events may not be included at all parks. Could we possibly see an up charge for HH in 2009 at KI?
August 13, 200818 yr Note though that the "May not include all Halloween events" footnotes seems to refer to the one 2008 visit.
August 13, 200818 yr "Plus, enjoy all the VIP gold benefits at Kings Island!" So does that mean we won't have gold benefits at other parks like this year?
August 15, 200818 yr I'm going to wait to renew my platinum pass. I plan on making a few more trips to both CP and KI this year, and I don't want to be limited to one visit. Plus if the benefits are only going to be good at KI, I'm definitely waiting to renew. I want my 9 am early entry for CP. The $10 discount just doesn't seem worth it right now. If I have to end up spending $150, I don't care. It's worth every cent. I've been to CP 4 times this year and KI 10 times, and I'm still not done.
August 16, 200818 yr A big plus when you renew your 2008 pass to 2009 pass is you will not have to have your pass processed again, providing no information has not changed.
August 16, 200818 yr In case anyone was wondering, I asked Guest Relations that if, like me, you have a platinum pass and want to renew it as a Gold Pass, you can do that, but they made it sound like it has to be done at the park.
September 5, 200817 yr A big plus when you renew your 2008 pass to 2009 pass is you will not have to have your pass processed again, providing no information has not changed. Do you know this for certain? I renewed my 2008 passes online, which produced 2009 e-ticket .pdf files for me... and the pdf files say you have to take them to the Season Pass Processing Center. I haven't seen anything official to indicate otherwise.
September 5, 200817 yr ^ It was that way last year too. Last year we took our current year (2007) passes and the papers for our 2008 passes to the processing center. They scanned both items and transferred our personal info onto our new pass electronically, without having to fill out new paperwork and without having to get new pictures taken. This was much faster than the old way and something we had wanted for a long time when I worked in Admissions. We used our 2007 pass for the rest of that year and kept our 2008's in a safe place. Since the passes look the same and do not have a year printed on them, the associate suggested writing the year on the signature line to prevent confusion. Just make sure that you have both your 2008 pass and your 2009 paperwork, and you should have no problems. And as a former Admissions associate, I will put this plea in for the current Admissions people: Please do not wait until the 2 last weekends to get this done. Those are some of the busiest times as most people tend to wait until the last minute. Your typically better off doing it in September or the first couple of weekends in October to avoid lines at SP processing.
September 5, 200817 yr Ok so you still have to go to the processing center, but it's a quicker process - that makes sense now. Thanks!
September 6, 200817 yr Quick question for those in the know. What is the cutoff date for, say, someone wanting to renew a pass but is going from Platinum to Gold? I don't think I'll be heading up to CP next year.
