Water at Boomerang Bay

Featured Replies

My friends and I are taking the five hour trek to KI and will be at the main park for our fourth time overall wednesday and then waterpark the next day. My question being with the average temps lately is the water heated? I would assume so but I would definetly not want to end up like an ice cube.

I would hope so but I have been to Kings Island when its been chilly and the water was not heated at all but I stuck it out and had a great time!

I can almost say for a certain that the water IS NOT heated, except by nature.

I used to lifeguard at Oceans of Fun, and hated the first few weeks of the season because the water was SO SO COLD. You froze your backside off and certain body parts stood at attention, gender dependent on what body parts I am talking about....

so far it only says 71 for thursday when I go there.

I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure the new slides (from the Boomerang Bay expansion) are temp controlled.

Even if Boomerang Bay can control its water temperature, it may not do so 100% of the time. I've been to Great Wolf Lodge and CoCo Key Resort several times - and there were days when the water was warm and days when the water froze.

Too cold for me-I have froze every time I've gone.

When they froze the water in the Royal Fountain, you could ice skate on it...

Terpy, who just HAD to

Ditto, I have not even put up our kids pool at home yet, because it is has been too cold for the water to get warm and stay warm. my kids would want to be in it every day, and then come out with blue lips.

We went on Memorial Day expecting the water to be freezing. As soon as we got there, we jumped in the pool to get used to it and then went to the slides. We weren't cold the rest of the day. It really wasn't too bad.

Yeah I went yesterday and much to my surprise it wasnt bad after the first slide. Let me tell you it was the best day ever for a waterpark as everything had no lines whatsoever. Where else and when else can you do every slide in the park in one hour? Gorgeous day too.

My guess? Geauga Lake's Wildwater Kingdom...
