But now it appears we are going to do KI instead of both parks and with KI we can do the water park and the park all together....but what the heck is this think about restrictions on the water slides....Suits with snaps, zippers, buttons, and rivets I get what snaps, zippers and buttons...but what the heck is a rivet?! I have a keyhole bathing suit, where you have the little thing that connects on the back, and it has never come out on me at any point...but never heard of a rivet!

I dont know for sure what it is but they just dont want it getting caught in the slide groove or puncturing one of their intertubes.

I think a rivet is one of those round metal things on clothes...pants mostly. This is nothing new. Years ago when it was still Water Works, my brother's friend had swimming trunks with a zipper, and they told him that wasn't allowed. I guess so they don't scratch the slides?

According to Webster's, a "rivet" is: "a headed pin or bolt of metal used for uniting two or more pieces by passing the shank through a hole in each piece and then beating or pressing down the plain end so as to make a second head" I can't imagine putting on a bathing suit in that manner, (Your back would be very sore if you did) so I think you're fine with what you have described..........:)

Sounds like one of those medievil things they put on women what do they call them, Chassity Belts?

haha, i once wore a bathing suit to KI with those holes in the pockets that a surrounded by metal rings to keep water out. They told me I couldn't ride, so I ripped them off the suit making them metal-less. I then handed the the rings to the slide attendent, he thanked me , and down I went.

Actually, the rules are to protect the slide from being scratched. I know this for a fact, that they worry if the slide gets scratched, that scratch will act like a razor on your soft skin slicing it right open at the high speed! (Remember how soft your skin gets after it is soaked that long lol)
