April 7, 200818 yr Hey I'm going to be at KI for opening day. Going to be there around 10 or eleven and stay until about 4 or 5. Anyone else want to meet up? Post below.
April 7, 200818 yr I would meet up, but i'll be working over on The Beast all weekend long. Come over and visit me.
April 7, 200818 yr Author I should be over there if the crowds aren't that bad. They really haven't been the last times I've gone. Especially since it's a sunday.
April 10, 200818 yr Are the lines useually as long as on, say, a Saturday in May? Cause I might be able to go. . .
April 10, 200818 yr I will be there on opening day. My sister asked for a ride for the after prom Kings Island trip. Naturally, I said yes.
April 10, 200818 yr Author Does anyone acutally want to meet up? Like Eiffel Tower at 11? I think there should be an event made up; as this IS a Kings Island website....it's the reason why we're all signed up here.
April 10, 200818 yr I will be going. Even on a pretty crowded day The Beast does not get long lines until like 1 or 2 in the afternoon. Best time to hit it though is at night or right when they drop the ropes as the park opens. Ahhh the opening day sprinters.

I've already decided that when I go to Kings Island I will sprint to Firehawk as soon Is I'm allowed in (9:30)
April 10, 200818 yr Author I'm going to be at Drop Zone at 10AM. Who ever wants to meet me there, can.
April 10, 200818 yr Most likely i won't be going to KI opening day, but if i were to than i would meet up... ive allways wanted to meet some members of this site. I will be there on April 26th. if anyone wants to meet up then, let me know!
April 10, 200818 yr I'll be there but I am not sure for how long. I have a paintball match up on Sunday some time.

April 10, 200818 yr And how might I ask, are you able to gain entry at 9:30? With the Gold/Platinum Pass you can get 30 Minutes of ERT!
April 10, 200818 yr And how might I ask, are you able to gain entry at 9:30? With the Gold/Platinum Pass you can get 30 Minutes of ERT! Awesome, i just got my gold pass. I don't remember it being like that last year.
April 10, 200818 yr what "private event" is happening on Saturday? Some Company bought out the park on Saturday so they have the park to themselves (lucky) So wait if you have a platinum pass you can get into the park 30 min early? Exactly. (Or A Gold Pass, Platinum Just gives you that perk at any CF park)
April 10, 200818 yr Oh, really? And you know this how? On SELECT days...and I doubt sincerely that opening day will be a SELECT day: And only in a PART of the park, not all of it. "...Opportunity to ride major attractions in different themed areas of the park on select days before the park opens to the general public..." http://www.visitkingsisland.com/events/events.cfm?ec_id=27
April 11, 200818 yr yeah i think it would be safe to assume opening day is NOT a "select" day, since no dates have been announced yet....i thought maybe i missed something but theInterpreter brought me back to reality
April 11, 200818 yr Anyone know if lines are shorter on opening day? Yes, lines will be shorter on opening day. They always are. Most of the rides are all walk-ons. I also predict that the weather will be sunny and 75. Don't worry about parking either, since the attendence is down, there will not be any hold-ups at the parking booths. Same goes for season pass processing. The first day is never busy, so don't expect a wait for processing.

April 11, 200818 yr As long as the weather's good I'll be there, spending most of the day in Nick U, with a stop by Festhaus to see a show and a walk around the park to see the changes. Also, I feel a strange urge to take a trip up the tower and look down from the east side of it...
April 11, 200818 yr Author Short lines for season pass processing, Tggrr? I thought it always had a large line for that; people were usually there just to get the pass processed, maybe the park for a short time, then go. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34963 Check out the link for the 2007 season of Kings Island!
April 11, 200818 yr I'm pretty sure Tggrr's whole post was loaded with sarcasm, as anybody who's been on opening day can attest. Unless that opening day is cloudy and windy with a high of 37° and a chance of snow...
