Featured Replies

^Ohhhh ok. They did look so much better with them. I wish Kingda Ka did something cool with their trains except some cool color schemes but hey, that's Six Flags for ya.

Must have had it confused with The Leaning Tower of Pizza.

I heard that Flight Deck is actually The Bat, but they repainted it and renamed it to make it appear safe. I mean come on! Its not even in the same area! -_-

But...if the leap year is not evenly divisible by the factor 400, the rotation is skipped. Just as a point of information, 2000 was evenly divisible by 400, so rotation was not skipped.

I had a friend who came with me to Kings Island once, and she insisted that the Son of Beast was built before The Beast.

I was like getting SO frustrated when I tried to tell her I REMEMBERED when they were BUILDING the Son of Beast.

I wonder how long it will be before people start insisting that top Gun, Face/Off, and Tomb Raider were so dangerous that they were torn down and replaced with Flight Deck, Invertigo, and The Crypt????

Among others.

I heard that when they were building the lift hill for Son of Beast a tornado ran through it and they had to rebuild it.

I also heard when KI removed their Tumble Bug and Rotor, both disappeared and were never seen again. :o

My math teacher says, when she worked at KI, that part of the Eiffel Tower fell down.

DB is sinking

please dont tell me you heard that in another topic on this forum lol....there is a reason why

no i felt like being silly ... however ... do share why you hope i didnt hear that ...

because I was being sarcastic about it in another forum and was joking around saying well before you know it people are gonna start saying that Diamondback is sinking due to improper footer placement or something like that lol...then went on to say if this gets to be a famous rumor, then Im gonna have to choose to either laugh or cry lol...thats why I asked..

Actually, strong winds did knock down part of SoB during construction, and that section had to be rebuilt. But there was no tornado.

How is that for a bad omen?

Great now you tell us. Why didn't you mention that when it came out.

It was all over the local news. Then again, it was nearly nine years ago! Perhaps that is why you didn't pay much attention to that back then.

Terpy, who was older than most peeps now here, even then...and there was no here here then

starts counting years....wow it has been that long...doesnt seem like its been that long since the coaster has been there..

I have heard quite a couple of times that the reason why The Bat was closed years ago was because multiple people were slung out and died. Even though i wasnt alive at the time, i know that the short life of the ride was mostly downtime.

I heard they were tearing down their newfangled rolly-coaster contraption?

Heh, actually somebody said they saw somebody get their hands chopped of because they had their hands up during The Beast's helix.

Also, somebody said that the sirens for the tube lift on Tazmanian Typhoon was to warn that it was dangerous (this was some little kid who was scared).

The one with the astroturf planted behind it

I heard someone once say that the netting on the turnaround of The Vortex (after the first drop) was put into place after one of the trains "fell off" and landed in La Rosa's  So the two people that were talking about this jumped when the train came around, and they ran across the pathway screaming.

It gave me a good laugh

Haha, that made me laugh. :)

Lift hill warning sirens/horns are there to alert any personnel who may be in the area that the device is about to start, so they can get out of the way. Sadly, at least some Canadian geese don't seen to heed such warnings, as Fabio can attest.

Well one day, I heard that Rivertown was getting a dive coaster. And then I heard that it changed and we were getting a hyper coaster ;)
