PETA and 6F: Religious Leader Calls On 6F To End Offensive Halloween Insect Eating Stunt

Featured Replies

Im so glad our park is owned by the likes of Cedar Fair who doesn't do these downright awful things like those insensitive folks over at Six Flags do.

<G>

PETA is now protecting cockroaches?

Even though I find the whole stunt disgusting, I would think that PETA would focus their attention more on animals that are, at a minimum, protected. Not animals that you can find in any sewer by the hundred count.

PETA reminds me of the Rainbow Coalition. If it makes big media headlines, they will certainly get involved.

But seriously though, protecting cockroaches? Why? Just in New Jersey alone there are probably a couple billion cockroaches. I would have thought that PETA would have bigger fish to fry.

Oh wait, can't fry fish anymore....

;)

And next on the menu for PETA: FearFactor.

Yeah, be thankful our park is owned by a company that understands that everyone should be respected and that no one's situation or misfortunes. <G>

Yeah, this is a worthy cause.

What about all the billions of other cockroaches that get stamped out by children every year? Who is taking up for them? Maybe they should go to the Raid or Blackflag headquarters and protest there.

Maybe they should change it to PETI - People for the Ethical Treatment of Insects

Such a funny situation protecting something that as others have said are so numerous. I realize the whole everything has right to live type thing but seriously, isnt it our job to stomp on them so they dont take us over and terrorize us?

I am part of PETA's distant cousin, People who Eating Tasty Animals...not sure a cockroach counts though, yuck.

I'm gonna go to Toro and protest lawn mowers. Grass is a living organism, and every summer people across the nation go all "willy-nilly" cutting their grass up to a few times a week! I am wholly outraged that such maliciousness towards such a lovely plant is allowed. Prepare for war, Toro!

;) ;)

I wanna join that group...People who Eating Tasty Animals.

Oh yes, I'm already a proud, card-carrying member of People for Eating Tasty Animals.

for what it's worth, I read it and it doesn't appear that PETA sanctioned the letter- was just reporting it. Not sure if that meant that they "support it"... but I guess that's for interpretation.

Eating insects? My brother does that. Ugh, I hate PETA, I want to know who the moron was that said Taku the killer whale died at Sea World Texas due to the heat a couple weeks ago.
