Do you think H-B Land's years at PKI are limited?

Featured Replies

The past couple of years PKI has pulled all Hanna-Barbera characters from walking the park except for Scooby Doo. Since the current generation of children is not aware of most of Hanna-Barbera's characters, do you think that Hanna-Barbera Land will be eventually phased out of PKI completely as Nickeloden Central expands?

Do you think Hanna-Barbera caroons will make a comeback? Do you think we'll see the status quo indefinitely? What are your thoughts?

Have a great day!

I think it will be Hanna-Barbera land for quit a while, since they just got SDATHC, and they have some other Hanna-Barbera rides still there that they would have to change or take out to change it into Nickelodeon Central . I see it in the future, but not any time soon. But I do think They will always have some part of Hanna-Barbera land, they will never take it out completely.

Personally, I think HBL will become NC in the future. Not anytime soon, but sometime. There really is no merit in naming rides and attractions off of characters that the kids don't recognize.

The unfortunate side is, Nickelodeon seems to come out with newer, more cutting edge characters every 5 or so years rather than concentrating on a particular franchise, so constant retheming could be necessary.

On the other hand, the Six Flags parks seem to just go ahead and run characters into the ground. Granted, I don't have kids, but I can imagine that they'd be able to recognize Sponge Bob, or Tommy from the Rugrats long before he or she would recognize Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck. Granted, they've tried to resurrect the franchise with new releases and new movies, but all in all, the age of the Looney Tunes is dead and gone.

Well am not sure about HB Land, but they did have a HB day at a Reds game to get your picture taken with four characters. The problem with Nicktoons is that some show are not on the air anymore but they still have little cartoon cut outs up. Ren & Stimpy have signs but they are on spike tv.

Sadly I do but the only really popualr HB characters kids reconize is The Flintstones,Scooby-Doo,The Jetsons,Yogi Bear there is a ton of merch out thanks to warner bros not to metion the movies hitting theaters starting in 2006 based on those classic HB characters the first movie coming out to theaters is The Yogi Bear Movie.. but you can still go to Six Flags and see HB and classic WB characters I perfer Looney Tunes and HB to Nicktoons but I Have to admit in all fairness I do love Spongebob and Fairly Oddparents.

I think that they are on their way out the door. As far as Scooby Doo goes, if they get rid of HB Land, how will they handle Scooby? He's not a Nick character and you have two rides named after him.

I can see the PKI making the front of the Kids park is HB land and the back in all Nick Toons for the just a little old kids like 7 or 10. Two kid lands is better for the hole family it gives all ages something to do.

Yeah if there is one cartoon character popular than spongbob it's Scooby-Doo! like I said I think if they add on to Nick Central in 2006 it will be near or right on the area where Quick Draws Railway **** Dasturdly's planes are.

I think the worst thing that could happen to HBL, that it will get themed all to Scooby Doo.

That wouldn't be so bad in my view :D ... he is very popular among kids and adults alike.
