October 10, 200718 yr According to this article: http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...IZ01/310100046/ Ohio is raising it's minimum wage from $6.85 to $7.00 starting January 1 Could this mean an increase in prices at KI to offset the cost of employing thousands of employees?
October 10, 200718 yr KI raises ticket prices nearly every year anyways, or at least so it seems. It won't matter to me I'm getting a pass, much like always.
October 10, 200718 yr Admission prices and season passes are not the only prices in the park. There's merchandise, there's food, there are pop machines and games and lockers and upcharge rides, just to name a few. . .
October 10, 200718 yr Back during opening weekend of Halloween Haunt this year, CoastersRZ pointed out to me that the price of soda in the machines has gone down since the begging of this year. He probably knows the exact price, I cant remember off the top of my head.
October 10, 200718 yr I believe from $3.50 to $3.00 for a twenty ounce bottle. Same thing happened at Carowinds. Perhaps they FINALLY found the public DOES have price resistance at some point.
October 11, 200718 yr I believe from $3.50 to $3.00 for a twenty ounce bottle. Same thing happened at Carowinds. Perhaps they FINALLY found the public DOES have price resistance at some point. That is true A 20oz bottle costs 3.00 from a machine. However if you go to a stand or inside a shop that same bottle will cost 3.50. I don't know why, but I've found that out after just opening my newly bought bottle of coca-cola from a vendor and happened to walk by a machine only to see it's cheaper.
October 11, 200718 yr Perhaps because you can tell a bottle in a shop or at a human vendor is or isn't cold. I bought exactly ONE bottle of (Diet) Pepsi at Cedar Point this summer from a machine. It was about as cold as warm dishwater is after half an hour, which is to say it wasn't even a wee bit cold. So, I walked up front to GR to get my money back...only to find out that GR doesn't have a location at the front gate any more, and I'd have to go to administrative services to get my money back. At that point, I vouched to never again buy soda at a Cedar Fair park. And you know what? I haven't. Not one. Nor do I intend to. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me...and no, it won't happen again. They lost a lot of money on THIS customer who used to buy several sodas a day at each Cedar Fair park I go to. Whatever...
