Least Favorite Vekoma Boomarangs
I Rode Invertigo yesterday. Boy was it rough! Of course, the rain pelting my face probably didn't help matters.. ha! I think I've only got another few years left of my youth before that thing starts to tear my head apart...

Kings Island 2014 Discussion Thread
This could be one of the busiest opening days of recent memory. I'm kind of glad I'm not there at the moment after seeing those lines... I'll get to Eve eventually! I waited the whole offseason, I can wait a little longer.

Your Banshee Experience
In my best Tony Stark voice: "Well performance issues, it's not uncommon. One out of five..."

Banshee Construction Progress
That is seriously awesome. Man, I cannot wait to hear it in person!

So, does Eve have that trademark roar? From the videos it sure sounds like it, but I bet it's a whole lot better in person!

So jealous right now! I can't wait for June to be here!

Vegas Ferris Wheel
Good heavens! 550ft high? The supports for that thing alone dwarf the surround buildings!

Look how happy Greg Scheid is. I could only imagine the experience of riding that machine for the first time after all the days, months and years of preparations.

Now that is a beautiful sight!

This forum runs and goes through Dane. It is up to him to decide if it is an independent forum, or one highly affiliated with the park. I, for one, cannot make that call since I don't pay to use this site, and therefore do not have any ownership. I believe that is what most people here are trying state.

Banshee Construction Progress
I had one terrible, grease ball of a weekend... but when I got up this morning, and saw the news that testing had begun: I tossed that weekend right out the door! Thank you Kings Island for entertaining me and brightening my day, even during the offseason! And thank you Devarious, that was an awesome and highly informational post!

Yep, the Dragons show was Johnny Lee's to command. And command he did. We loved the presence he had on the stage!

Some are better than others, but for the most part they all exceed expectations in their performances.

Awesome! You'll love it! I have a friend who is one of the sound technicians. Unfortunately, he is on a different circuit so I rarely see him..

^ Not to mention the park gave a pretty big hint on Facebook just prior to the announcements: "for all ages..." That made me think of Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey's Circus, "boys and girls of all ages.." Overhyping things can lead to hurt feelings...

A new coaster, the rebirth of a legendary coaster, a brand new show, new theming, new food options... This year is going to be friggin' sweet!

Koch Family Have Purchased Alabama's Splash Adventure
That is interesting... no press release or anything. Nothing in the news so to speak either. All it says on the website is that Dan Koch and the family bought it in March... A quiet acquisition. Hmm.

Banshee Construction Progress
Yeah, that makes sense. It doesn't get any better than trying to fit 32 hours into 24. Ah the days of college... At least it worked out for them.

^For reals? I wonder if they did that in case the train rolled back on its maiden voyage. Nothin' to see here folks! Nothin' at all...

Banshee Construction Progress
Yep you're right APE, as it states on the park's website they will open at noon. Here's the link.

Banshee Queue Music
For a change of pace throughout the day, they could use Flogging Molly. The uptempo beats would surely get the awaiting crowd pumped!
-
Banshee Construction Progress
Yep. I figure the second word gets out that they are testing, this thread will be jam packed.

The Beast 35th Anniversary
The Beast is such a great experience. I remember the surreal moment after the first time riding it. The whole world had opened up to me, and suddenly those big bad roller coasters weren't as terrifying. For so many people, it is treated as a rite of passage. I still thank my brother for getting me to ride it that first time. I wouldn't have loved roller coasters if weren't for The Beast. Here's to you big guy! Happy 35!
