That happens to me on Diamondback sometimes too, mostly after the MCBR, but it's still a great ride

Doubt guests would even notice.....

I think the system would be kinda useless to be free for a business standpoint. Kings Island is looking for revenue and this is a easy way to find it. I think this will in turn help the park as the money can be used for additions or improving of the guest experience. I believe this could also bring some people in to Kings Island for people that want to ride a lot but little time, compared to other parks for the persons drivable distance. You guys might think I'm crazy but some people will LOVE this small improvement/ disimprovement however you like to look it. With every discesion some people are going to happy and some will be mad, but that's just how it goes. It's impossible to make everyone happy, but it's not hard to boost the amount of peoples enjoyment through small things like this. Hope that's not confusing -MagmMForce247

^ I actually don't agree. Son of Beast was i believe was a large staple to the park, even more than Diamondback would of been in 2000. I think Diamondback would be overlooked because of the opening of Millennium Force. Son of Beast is completely different and had it's own specialty that's different to anything else, which really helped Kings Island. I think the park really needs both as Son of Beast is for people who love the feel of a very intense wooden experience, and Diamondback is for people that love a smooth fast-paced airtime filled experience. Those are 2 very different categories, and it's great for one park to have both. It's not extremely common to find a fast paced steel AND wooden coaster. That is something that can bring not only more general guests but more coaster enthusiasts. I don't know about others when I moved to Ohio in 2007 and saw Son of Beast I was disappointed that it was closed. When I heard it opened we were down there in a heart-beat. That's something that I want myself and others to feel again with Son of Beast, emotional but also really excited. I hope that Cedar Fair will change the ride or make something about the ride (whether it's a different layout major retracking), to make the ride marketable and enjoyable for everyone. For example Cedar Point retracked Mean Streak and did heavy maintenance on the ride and made it a really enjoyable experience, which from what I saw attracted more people to the ride. I actually had to wait for once on a very dead day. I just hope the keep in mind about that guest experience that a great ride can make, and turn Son of Beast into that. From my experiences it's been the best this year than any other year since i first rode it in 2007. Maybe I like rougher wooden roller coasters than others and don't notice it, but i truly thought it was better especially in the major re- tracked area's. -MagmMForce247

I really doubt they would buy all the rides from KK. I believe they are TRYING to find a plan to open the amusement side in the future. Now whether trying goes into actions I can't say that but that's a whole other topic. IF that did happen I would love to see Twisted Twins, as I love CCI wooden roller coasters, but we already have a wooden needing fixing.... but again whole other topic. -MagmMForce247

I loved the ride, it was my favorite roller coaster. I guess I'm a wooden coaster fan, or i'm used to rougher wooden coasters as i would always ride The Boss @ SFSL, but I do think the ride needs changed. It's not healthy for the park to have a large coaster sitting dormant. I'd love just to see maybe a MAJOR retracking or layout rework. I thought the only rough part was the bottom of the rose bowl, but that's my opinion. -MagmMForce247

I also voted for something done with SOB. Son of Beast is my favorite ride besides Millennium Force. I would love to see it operate one day. Every time I come to the park I love to just gaze at it's massive beauty. But sadly if someone hasn't said already, the queue has been taken out from where the entrance was and a couple lanes in the major queue area.

There is indeed new music on the Backlot Stunt Coaster, it's better than playing cotton- eye joe for that coaster but i still preferred the music when it was Italian Job. The X- Base sign is gone, I'm guessing for cleaning or something, but if you know any information please post it. Firehawk was down part of the day (not unusual), Diamondback Broke Down around 12, and was stuck on the Mid- Point Brake Run, The Racer was down part of the day too. Park managers were telling us at the security check-point that WindSeeker should be done if there are 4 good days with out rain, but who knows if that is correct. Edit : I was here today from 9:30 to about 3:00
