  1. Well done on the picture side!
  2. Tbh for the most part the general public won't care if it's made by GCI ICG RMC GMC or the GCL. If it's something that can add memories for a family and is fun then that will be good. If you ask the general public who built The Racer, Banshee, or The Bat you'd probably get a look and an answer that says Kings Island. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I believe in the Brussels or the Paris attack last year the gun check did keep the thing from exploding the device inside the stadium. I don't have answers either. I could see how a person outside the park could cause damage at the security check, but I would think the damage would/could be more in the park? The parks big enough that a person could theoretically hit an entire section before being apprehended Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Let's not forget that this is the same water that allows you to water ski in. At one time you could swim and canoe. The dad and son were in (according to some reports) about 1 foot of water. The dad was holding the kids hand. It's a man made lake that they wanted you to fish in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Don't engage small minded people making terrible statements. Just report it or ignore it. Don't engage it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. They are connected. From what I have read over the years is that swimming was allowed but over time swimming may have became banned due to some of the following reasons: Increase in boat traffic Bacteria in the water Increase in gators So I can see if you have been to the park many times over the years you would let little ones into the water a bit. But my open water life guarding instinct tells me that it's never a good idea to swim where you can't see the bottom or where you have a clear line of sight for the area around where you are swimming. The dad could have been right next to the kid and the gator could still have got him. Gorilla mom is very lucky this didn't happen to her boy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. And let's not forget that because in the past we have been good allies to the park, the park has returned favor as well. That's how relationships can grow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/15/us/alligator-attacks-child-disney-florida/ A bit more info: Earlier that night there was a movie screening on the beach but it would have been over by this time Childs 4 year old sister was in a play pen on the beach Child was splashing and either walking or playing in the water (water is marked to not swim) Dad wrestled with alligator to try and get son back Mom had entered the water but was not able to locate 2 year old boy No incident like this before *************** opinion coming ***** This is heart breaking. Why was the kid allowed in the water by his parents. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah I had read that Disney monitors them for size and aggression and when they get to big or aggressive they will capture and send them out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Omg. No words. Prayers for that family. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Legit or not, they probably don't belong on here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. What do you mean something will have to happen to The Beast? Like following an accident or age or something? I believe it's been talked about on these boards that the track and supports are replaced as needed. That long shed was also a brake run if I recall my Beast history. When I was little it still had the kicker tires and could be used as a blocking section as needed. That's why it's so long straight and covered. Plus wasn't there someone who stood out there? The ride is still immensely popular. Lastly I think the trim thing is such a big thing about his ride is because there was a story or truth that the designers of the ride ride it once and decided the speed and such had to be adjusted. But the only time I read about this story was then the ride was just finished not even open so unless you were a park higher up you never rode it that way (from what I remember of old foster stories). And just because the majority don't agree with you doesn't mean we don't get it. It means we don't agree Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Well said! I read about this after attending my friends' same sex wedding. It was a great time. I come home to read this. To go from a place where love and laughter and music and joy was playing to read about this... I still don't have the words to put together that this just doesn't make sense. Isis or homophobia or both or whatever.... It just doesn't add up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. While Super Duper is a company that makes speech therapy materials. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Trying to be nice. The more you interact with these sad people who are only posting to get attention the bigger their ego gets. The only way to get rid of these things is to ignore them. Don't talk to them don't talk about them just ignore them. Maybe they are lonely and feel that when people talk to them they are useful. Maybe they are little kids. Maybe they are old loners. Just ignore them. They are trolling for responses. Just report them and and ignore them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I have every intention of going and buying my printed copies on Monday. Will make a nice souvenir to add to my collection. I will not be posting them in any forums or social media until the park make their announcement. By that time, it won't matter to anyone if I did or not and would be no sense in doing so. Wait... How far back do these plans go back? It would be cool to get a copy of say The Beast blueprints for my basement... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Are you a DVC member? We just started so I would love to hear your thoughts about the program as someone who has used it for a while. We were explained that the points change base on only a few things. So for example if a room changes from say a non preferred to a preferred view. Say the room went from a view of the woods/parking lot to a view of a park expansion. And the other thing is if the prime time season changes. I'm sure I'll have more data as the years progress though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Some people enjoy "fixing" or "making things". So for some greener pastures can always be something that needs to be fixed. They enjoy it. Other people love to fix something and then continue to shape it for the rest of their career. No idea which one is our current CEO. Maybe they offered and he turned it down? Less they pay him he more they can pay other people to keep them on board rowing in the same direction? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Agreed. Since my little guy is almost 36 inches and will hit that mark this summer, my view of what we can or can't do in the park has severely changed. Maybe this will add something else for everyone to enjoy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Fake enough for you?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I agreed with Nick till this post. I had no reason to believe a random Facebook group that may just want likes or subscribers. Plus my science brain always tells me to not believe one source... Wel there ya go source two.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. If you all take stock in certain things a certain PR guy posted about an hour ago on Twitter a sorrow about not riding a certain star at another island. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. There's nothing wrong with that... We're the only major CF park without one, and now we'd have to wait an additional 6 years. Of course there is something wrong with that. Well that's one opinion.... If there is no giga will you not come back? Reality check. We can't all get what we want. We all like different things. That's the truth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. DVC is only eligible to book at their home resort 9 months out and other resorts 6 months out. But the points don't change. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Okay and I guess people who don't like haunts should also not ride then. And as a whole both parks are very family friendly. No one is changing the ride chief Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. The park also offers parent swap. Where one parent or part of the group waits in line and the other half waits with the kiddos. Then when the riders get off the pass gets signed and the other part of the group walks up the exit and rides. It helps make park visits very nice Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
