  1. ^I have that same fear. I used to not want to go to Home Depot or any other store with a tall ceiling because looking up would make me dizzy and I would like freak out, haha.
  2. The last few posts have been hilarious!
  3. ^I completely agree with everything you said. I started REALLY enjoying coasters after I learned to take my hands off the restraint and just enjoy the ride. Sure, I rode most everything on my first trip, but I can't say I REALLY enjoyed it. I took it back to Woodstock Express, and started to try to ride where you could get the most airtime. I didn't hold the restraint at all. That started to seem like a Sunday drive to me, so I just started working my way up. You could always try to start with the biggest coaster in whichever park you are going to. But if you think you are going to get really nervous and "make a scene," its better to not force yourself.
  4. ^ I completely agree! In my opinion, Maverick is much better than Millennium Force, even though I only have a few rides on each.
  5. ^ I am sorry, but you failed. What part of my post were you quoting? I have absolutely no idea.
  6. In my opinion, watching POVs is the absolute worst thing you can do. The first time I went I rode pretty much everything because I had no idea what they did. Looking back, I don't think I would've even rode Racer if I would've watched a POV. I didn't even see Racer's lift hill (Due to my low knowledge of the park at the time), and I think if I would've seen it, I wouldn't have ridden it. After I got off of it the first time, I saw the lift and my facial expression was: . But I think that all goes away after you ride some smaller coasters. I just got more daring and brave and didn't really care about whether I saw the drop or not. I just knew I would have fun. I definately think you should go on Woodstock Express to try to get used to the drop. I was really scared my first time, but I ended up having a lot of fun(That's what she said). That was my friend's first coaster, and he ended up riding everything with me. I still get really nervous in line for The Beast, Diamondback, etc., just because it looks so intimidating (Ha!), even though I've ridden them multiple times. You just have to tell yourself that you're going to have fun, and roller coasters are completely safe.
  7. ^ I heard on Youtube that since Vortex was built on swampy land and is sinking, they're tearing down Son of Beast and putting Vortex there. Where do people get these things?!
  8. I WANT you (r camera).
  9. ^I forgot about that! Thanks for reminding me.
  10. I found an off-ride video of him when he got a "near-stall" (As it's called in the video) and you can see him trying to push it over. It's really funny. Just search "Bert Dragster near stall" or something like that on Youtube. I really like the show. I think it's really funny, even if it is fake.
  11. Yay for kid 2!
  12. There's one billboard just north (or south...) or Dayton that advertises KI. I also see the discount tickets whenever I go to Kroger's. And then there's the Ride Warriors commerical I saw everyday on the news show at my school.
  13. I have not been on either one. Xtreme Skyflyer looks alright but SlingShot doesn't look like my thing. Anything that spins a lot doesn't act good to me. I can barely even ride Scrambler.
  14. I love the park, actually. I'm probably going to spend most of the day there because of the 90 degree+ weather. It's much, much better than nothing.
  15. No Coolangata (sp?) Racer?!
  16. I didn't mean record-breaking. Something that's fairly tall and has a really steep drop.
  17. I usually go there for about 2 hours every trip. Very relaxing, but also very exciting. I think it would be nice to get a water coaster or something like Summit Plummet for 2011.
  18. My friend freaking out in the lines to White Water Canyon and the then Fairly Odd Coaster was really weird...
  19. This is really shocking and very sad. My mom and I were just talking about taking a trip there this summer...
  20. I've seen the previews for this show and it looks really good. I'll definately watch it.
  21. I wasn't saying you were lying. There's so many times when these are just scams. But I looked more into and at other threads and it sounds 110% legit.
  22. I haven't heard of anything like this. I'm not exactly sure if it's real by your story, but if you get that guitar you're super lucky, haha.
  23. I went on the fourth either last year or the year before and they did fireworks for maybe 1 or 2 extra minutes.
  24. "THE BRITISH ARE COMING!" is the first thing that came to my mind. Addict, who obviously has never yelled that out of the car window.
  25. I don't really care if it's removed or not. I don't ride it, but I know a lot of people who love it. But I, too, think it is the end of SOB.
