  1. The fireworks at closing is a great way to end your visit. Note, fireworks are done when the park closes at 10 p.m or later. Watch the weather before you come out. On rainy days the park doesn't seem to have as much traffic compared to nice sunny days. Enjoy your trip and remember to scream your head off. It is ok to have a great time.
  2. What coasters have the extra seat belt/lap bar space for larger riders?
  3. Will bad weather change the event or cause it to be rescheduled?
  4. Is there any guess how many members will be attending this event? I know from the past it can get busy, but it is always a lot of fun.
  5. Both parks offer great rides and the price is fair. You have to look at the location to understand the bug problems. I would think being near a large lake and lots of lights would be a open door for bugs. I do not let that ruin my fun at Cedar Point.
  6. Just double checking, if I bring a guest do they have to be a club member? I am so pumped for this event.
  7. I am happy with Kings Island's coaster line up and would cry if they changed them. Mean streak is ready for a change and if it could be done I could see Cedar Point pondering the idea. Bring back the Rotor!
  8. With six flags changing some of the old wooden coasters like Colossus, what coaster from Cedar Fairs would do great with this kind of make over? I pictured the Son of Beast fitting this change but with that gone I picture Psycho Racer or even better than that, Twisted Streak. I can not imagine why any place would want to change their classic wooden coasters when there might be so much history with that ride. I would cry if The Beast got converted.
  9. I can not wait. These events are really fun, and I enjoy meeting up with other club members.
  10. I have a feeling I may have to sit this one out. Next month will be the last stand for Mantis.
  11. Even when I was 235 the Mine ride was tight on my legs. The lap bar was very unforgiving.
  12. I did ok riding all my favorites including Banshee, but I am planning a trip to Cedar Point and do not know if the restraints have changed much. I can just fit on Kings Island's coasters at 255 5-6. What I need to know is what can I get away with at Cedar Point? I can guess that Dragster will be off that list. I just need to know what I can get away with on flat rides and coasters. Any info would be helpful.
  13. Sounded like a great trip. To bad there has to be a few bad apples to make the day go bad, but I am glad you still enjoyed your trip.
  14. Great day at the park other than the early evening storm that left me soaked while wait in line at Firehawk. The night ride on The Beast was enhanced by the heat lighting and fog and it was great. Lines were not to bad. The longest wait was for Banshee only a 45 min wait. With my weight down, I rode every coaster other than Vortex and the Stunt coaster since these two bother my neck. WindSeeker seem to have loading problems possibly due to the seat belt safety system. It took a while, because crew had to keep rechecking seat belts. I understand safety and did not mind the hold up. Thumbs up to the Diamondback team for grabbing items riders and securing them in order to speedup times and for the employee at Firehawk that that got soaked during that storm and remained professional and at the same time had fun with the guests. No pictures at the moment thanks to a wet camera,
  15. Just to report, I am down to 246 and loving my night rides on The Beast. Been to the park four times this season and have rode everything. I might have to start singing the happy song.
  16. I would like to have Viper from Six Flags or even Top Thrill Dragster.
  17. Bring back the Rotor. I miss the dropping floor.
  18. Maybe promotional items for sale or a big party in celebration.
  19. The video lifted my spirits. Sad that Son of Beast is gone, but progress comes at a price. I wonder if there is any plans for the Tomb Raider site other than a haunt attraction?
  20. could Vortex really be sinking? The Beast seems to run faster during the last few cycles before it closes for the night. Could that be a gift or just my imagination?
  21. Feel free to answer or add questions to be answered by the powers to be. 1. Are seat belts on some trains really tighter than others? 2. Wooden coasters run faster in the rain. 3. Is Kings Island really haunted? Have fun with these and add to it.
  22. Almost went there once. I may have to check this place out.
  23. I plan on being there. Being able to give back is something that makes life worth living.
  24. When you find yourself checking the website for calendar dates or looking for new info on the new season.
  25. Even though I made it to the park, my heart was not into this past season. Glad to be back. Taking the walk of shame is a wake up call for anybody. I was upset, but I respect the safety guidelines that must be followed and would hate to be the cause mishap due to my weight. Counting down to opening day.
