Well that could be pretty nifty! The only real problem I ever had with the sob is that I think it has to many helix like turns. I think it needed to have a few more straight aways on it, just my personal opinion. As I said earlier tho, im really really hoping for the drop to go underground into a tunnel and connect back to the track

I'm very interested to see the new "hinted" progress that will be coming in the future

I agree if they were to put a tunnel in that would be sweet, and even if they took the part of the sob where the loop was and instead of a gradual drop from the brakes make it a straight down drop and go underground and come back up and attach with the rest of the track .. that in my personal opinion would be one kick *** add on

Make no mistake, Cedar Fair knows about all of these mistakes, maintenance problems, mishaps, what have you, and they will fix them ... over time. Again it all comes back to paramount/cbs .. just wanting the parks to make an extra buck and not really putting much back into them, except for what they had to. Cedar Fair has nothing else to use the money one, so again like I have said again and again Cedar Fair is in the business FOR THE BUSINESS not to make an extra buck. Give them time and you will see Kings Island form and shape into an even better theme park then it already is. I can see Kings Island and Cedar Point running as the #1 and 2 theme parks in the country if Cedar Fair plays there cards right. That is truely an achievement more so then creating amazing new coasters at KI yea we love them, yea id love to have them, but once they fix all the rides a KI and all the maintenance that needs to be taken care of.. your gonna see Cedar Point and Kings Island all over the place as 2 of the best parks in the world... personal opinion of course

I think that would be really really cool! If they had a really sweet station design and erie night style music to go with it I think that would be perfect. I also hope/want them to take out those stupid lights inside of fof, if they took them out then it would be pitch black in there which makes it more exciting ... at least when they didnt have the lights on every once in a while i enjoyed fof a lot more and its definatly one of my favorite rides at the park

Well, if Cedar Fair can keep up with putting a lot of rides in each year then you would be better off in not having long lines. Cedar Fair just needs to keep up with the amount of people we have around the area that go, if they can do that then the lines wont be that long

Well, I saw something online the other day that said ki brings more people into the park over the year then cp does but cp makes more money .. ill try to find that article and post it

Cedar Fair will not make Kings Island only family oriented, and ill tell you why. First and for most they bought the park, they are fixing the sob, if they didnt want the park to have big rides they wouldnt be fixing it, they brought a new coaster in the same year, again if they wanted it family oriented and not big they wouldnt of brought in a new coaster, or at least new to us. Yes, I know its nothing special but its pretty good since they just bought the park and all!!!! Now with all the massive amounts of land Kings Island has, you dont think they will capitalized on that!?!? And again, Kings Island is a good 4 hours from Cedar Point, why not build it up? There was a topic in the site about how Cincy and Dayton will be so populated its like they are the twin cities up in minnesota, well with that being said there will be PLENTY of people around to make this park good for adding big rides, but also keeping to the family rides and kiddy areas as well! Heck we even bring more people into the park then Cedar Point does..

Well, to be honest with you I would assume the reason is because they are putting so much more money and effort into getting both the sob and the Firehawk ready, that putting a vid cam up is the least on their mind. Maybe next year when they have everything, or at least the major things, re-done then you might see a vid cam

Exactly right, say you have a group of 3, well thats were the single ride line would come into place, making it so the trains are always filled and making the lines as short as possiable

Did you guys ever think about who created The Beast tho.... I know I have and its not the same people that made the SOB which creates a big part in why the two coasters seem totally different in feel. On one hand you have the SOB which was created recently within the last 7 years and had quite a lot of complants, while you have The Beast which over and over again is rated as one of the best wooden roller coasters ever built.

Hmm, I wonder how Daytona can keep their beach clean? Or Cocoa Beach...just how do they do it? The word you are searching for is not hard, but "more maintenance intensive". If people litter as much as you put onto them and a beach can be for the most part clean before a high-tide rolls in, then I would say that a beach within a very controlled environment such as Boomerang Bay with no tide-restraints could be extremely clean. How is the Beach clean you may ask. Well many parts answer this question: Littering isnt the only activity beachgoers engage in.There are things called rakes, which depending on nesting schedules, groom the beach intermittently. Also you have people that dont mind going out of their way to pick up a empty cup of pop and put it in the correct trash receptacle and Rangers, lifeguards, etc. who routinely survey the beach and swimmers, and pick up trash as well. There is no reason why Boomerang Bay couldn't have sand and a group of "pan and brooms" who keep the area free of the occasional litter attack. I for one wouldnt mind seeing that, or one of those synthetic rubber playground surfaces used at water play areas at Dollywood and the like. The only real constraint with this material? More cost, and More maintenance! And there are materials of this nature that when the sun heats them dont smell like dirty feet...again "Dollywood"! Well, thankfully you seem to back me up on a lot of things Cory! Thanks for that, at least someone aorund here thinks my ideas are somewhat good.

Well thats just fantastic for the media ... now they are gonna be all over Cedar Fairs a** but agreed at least it wasent in public like sob was I remember being on the sob earlier that day before it happened and thought it was extremely bumping for some reason..

I agree as of right now, however I can see them expanding even farther out that way to bring more people and draw more attention over there which is a good thing

Even though we have all of the wooden roller coaster records basically, I still think we need a good record breaking steel coaster of some sorts.. just my personal opinion. Althought it probably wont ever happen due to Cedar Point being just north of us

I couldn't agree with you more Vortex... as I stated earlier im really upset about the eagles the land was not even used it was the dumbest move in my opinion so many people rode those! especially people who dont like big rollercoasters aka how I was until about my junior year in high school! I will never get over the eagles but the tigues dont really bother me i didnt really ride them but they still could of left the eagles in....

I agree they definatly should use them all the time especially during the opening year I could understand if its a slow day but in the mid summer time they should have them both always open!

So, are you saying you could of done a better job of running 5 parks because you were a food service supervisor? Personally, like I said earlier paramount was in it for one reason, and one reason alone MONEY!!!! Thats what it all boiled down to for them and it definatly looks like they got their money's worth .. Good Ridence thank god Paramount/CBS IS GONE. They no NOTHING about theme park operation!
