  1. Wardrobe still had those through 2003. When I worked at SOB/GUN in 04 I tried like hell to get one but they had none left. I was so ****ed that I had waited. All they had were the hats so I bought one of them.
  2. See posts 3 & 4 of this topic... Well my brother once went on the ride and he said the line was more than 30 minutes long. I asked him if he saw that part of the line and he said no but he might've not known what I was talking about. It would have had to have been at least 10 years ago for him to have gone through the lower queue. Also I believe flight suits were last used in 2001. I could be wrong. If Alien Seed still posted on here he would know for sure.
  3. Nah, my sister and I worked at Americana/Lesourdsville Lake back in the day. Remember her? She was really into dinosaurs... Very cool. That certainly explains your familiarity with Jerry Couch.
  4. The tumble bug and flying dutchman were near the entrance of Adventure Express.
  5. Did you work there?
  6. Wow, I never knew you worked at KI. I wasn't a very active associate. Never really tried to stand out. Never did anything out of the ordinary...
  7. Unless it's changed, at 15 one can work in food, games, and admissions.
  8. I went to a job fair at KI when I was 14 to learn the ropes. At 15 I started at I-Street Pizza, then at 16 moved to rides. Worked in rides until I was 20. I loved every minute of it.
  9. How is that important?
  10. I used to go down there all the time in 2004 when I worked there. I'd roll up all the doors and look at what was left. A few missiles, a model plane or 2, etc. There used to be a staffed position down there with a hight stand. It was kind of like their greeter position. For some time in 04 we had one of the missiles upstairs, put tape around it, and used it as a height stick. At least back then, everything was still in place. Anyone remember how there used to be fog every time a train entered or exited the station? Such a good effect.
  11. The number of roller coasters hardly matters though. Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin sees FAR more guests than any attraction at KI. The popularity of their rides is not dependent on their high thrills. The Magic Kingdom has 9 fastpass attractions.
  12. Ouch, yea that's pretty low. I agree, putting it there is bad enough. It just shows ones inability to by carrying this argument into every other post on this site. Not removing it after a request? Thats a whole new low...
  13. I only bring up the TOS because you keep pointing out your age. Age aside, there is a certain maturity level required for these boards. If you believe that using your age as an excuse is going to make certain actions permissible, then you should not be posting here. Good day.
  14. Indeed, as a part of human nature, it could make people respect your opinion less.
  15. If you're going to continually use your age as an excuse, perhaps you shouldn't be posting here. Do you want me to quote the Terms of Service again? Nobody is going to care about your age unless you keep bringing it up.
  16. Clearly you are an expert because you read the internet message boards. Well actually it seems to me that he was just pointing out what other people have said. He wasn't agreeing with them. If you quote just that portion of my post, sure it sounds like maybe he didn't agree with them. However if you had quoted my whole post and not taken a portion out of context it would have been clear that he agreed with them when he said this: If it's not the internet, I'd like to know where he gets his expertise on the subject, particularly concerning the "formula that FP uses."
  17. Not to pick on you but since you brought up your age, please keep in mind this boards age requirement per the terms of service: http://www.KICentral...?showtopic=4128
  18. Nice joke. The answer is indeed simple. KI doesn't have near the attendance of any Disney Park.
  19. These are some mighty strong words. "Unfortunately at Disney the ride operators and/or management do not understand that for it to work properly." Now, I have been a ride operator on a fast pass attraction, and I have helped program and update the fastpass system both at the individual attraction level, at the park level, and property wide. Are you saying we don't understand the fastpass system, the system that we use daily and have to explain to thousands? Are you saying that while programming, I didn't take into consideration the possibility of late comers? Are you saying that we have done no research to accurately hypothesize the number of people that will come late? Weird, I wonder what data the Industrial Engineering Dept. was actually collecting. Why dont you tell me exactly how the fastpass system works. PLEASE tell me. This is my favorite: "this nullifies the formula that FP uses" wow... if you could only see the programming that goes into the Fastpass system. You know what, please, tell me what should be changed. Please enlighten me as to how the system could be better written. Oh and while you're at it, explaing to me how the family of 4 from Michigan is going to be happy spending thousands on a disney trip, then being told they cannot ride a ride because they were late becuase their 6 year old wanted to meet Mickey Mouse. Clearly you have all the answers. Clearly you are an expert because you read the internet message boards.
  20. By all means, please tell us what to believe and how to live
  21. You know, it really bothers me, the people who are saying this. There could have been problems. There still might be problems. Had Cedar Fair not handled this event so well, problems of some sort would have been inevitable. For nothing, indeed? You're right. We should all live in fear about what "could" have happened in your mind. Thanks. Also Currently halfway through season 2. Riker finally grew out his beard. I don't like Dr. Pulaski nearly as much as Dr. Crusher.
  22. Really? Have you been doing KI's books lately? Did you go to Winterfest when they tried to bring it back in 05? I was there almost every single night working and guess what, the place was a ghost town.
  23. Although I believe the setup is the same, I think they moved the launch pad in 2007 after the addition of Firehawk. That accounts for why The Beast is closed for a few minutes during the fireworks - because of its closer proximity. Definitely true. In fact the last time I was at the fireworks launch pad, it was surrounded by King Cobra track haha.
  24. After eating, breathing, and sleeping, the Magic Kingdom for just about 2 years, I have to say it is still my favorite park. I think it is because I look at the park much more from an engineering standpoint and the utilization of the lower level, even after working down there, still amazes me. Plus after all the projects I was on, I feel as though I have a stake in many of the MK rides. And I'll never forget my time at the Jungle Cruise.
