  1. Yes. Must be new wheels.
  2. It tested yesterday as well. Have you noticed how quiet it is?
  3. One has to wonder when the lines out queues for food and Fast Lane will have an impact that can't be written off as a weather variable. I know many people that forego their 2nd meal because the lines are just too long and said this is the last year they get meal plans. I know many have said the Fast Lane lines are too long and they won't renew Fast Lane next year. Yet, we hear this every year, and the majority of those same people end up renewing anyway. And until that changes, the value of the product being offered will continue to erode. All season Fast Lane just sold out at Kings Island, so the trend continues.
  4. In PT:E, during banter about NLL wanting a spot in the show, Maestro tells him something to the affect of "You should never have volunteered for Houdelini's 'sawing an usher in half trick.'"
  5. Six Flags’ first quarter 2026 results reveal a company focused on guest spending, regional season pass growth, operational discipline and long-term stability beyond roller coasters. Read more: https://themeparksbydon.com/six-flags-2026-strategy-theme-parks/
  6. It would certainly be at least 2027 or 2028 before I think KI even attempts to do a big coaster again. I might be biased cause I recently went to Disney World, but I absolutely loved the Tron motorbike format ride that they had there. It was a great experience and honestly would love to see something in the same format at KI. Maybe themed around A safari adventure tour gone wrong that you're trying to 'race' out of. Ties into Adventure Express, The Racer, and The Beast nearby in a way. Honestly if nothing else, I would just like to see some small upgrades overall in the park. I would love if thee was more theming in the ques for rides throughout the park. I was reading where they said this has been done for the new phantom theater ride, and I think it would be cool if we could implement more que theming/staff staging at rides. Flight of Fear's still holds up IMO, Orion is decent-ish.
  7. Invertigo is testing this morning however they still have the ride will not operate today sign up.
  8. Double posting because I'm full of ideas I'll just put this out there: assuming there won't be a major attraction next year, 2027 would be a great year for Kings Island to finally receive a non-coaster focused front gate renovation! It could also be a good year to update some more signage around the park and/or to bring back some unique looking signage to the park. I'd love to see the old height signs and some of the green text on a cream background signs make a return. A new event would also be nice. Will any of this happen? Probably not. All of the Opening Day footage I've seen so far from Cedar Point makes it look like they really only got a renovated restroom in Frontier Trail and a new pass-through between the Pagoda Gift Shop/Sweet Spot/Peanuts at The Point (oh, and some new anti-Vortex shearing stuff on TT2). I hope Kings Island would advocate for a larger renovation or a new restaurant if it's set to be an off-year, but who knows what will happen at this point.
  9. When you try to place an order, it will tell you sorry not available.
  10. My new theory for the feet behind the curtain is that it’s meant to open to reveal a pair of disembodied legs that allude to the sawing in half trick (either being implied to be Larry’s or just another random characters). On the call board there’s a note from Houdelini asking for a new assistant for his trick, so maybe this calls forward to this? I lean towards this being a broken effect since the air blast seems out of place, and I think the legs peeking out is too subtile of a detail compared to where they hide small gags in the rest of the ride.
  11. I keep hearing things about the "feet" behind the curtain in the houdelini scene. People have been speculating that the curtain is broken or some affect there doesn't work however isn't there lore about no legs Larry losing his legs during a magic trick? Any thoughts on if this is a broken effect or is this an Easter egg? Has anyone else heard that lore story about how Larry lost his legs?
  12. I think the Larry on the turntable is the static figure and the gargoyle counts as a prop.
  13. This is probably the best explanation but I still have a gut feeling something’s supposed to be there. From what I’ve noticed from my rides is that the air blast is aimed directly at the cars coming from a tube to the left of the curtain. Maybe there’s supposed to be audio in that section that would’ve given context that was turned off. I know the quality is 2 pixels tall, but the curtain seems to be open in the (admittedly very early) concept sketch so maybe it’s an effect? The most hot or miss effects have been the two screens that have been broken since opening weekend, and the two heat effects have been on and off. There’s been noticeable changes within the audio, so hopefully they’re focusing on the major areas and are working to maintain the ride throughout the season.
  14. I think the air blast is supposed to rustle the curtain to add to the idea that there's someone behind it. If we're looking for who it could be then I'd try to look at everyone's shoes to see whose match best. More effects breaking each week feels like something that is expected for the first few months of a new dark ride like this. From what I've seen, some things have been fixed while others were left as-is over the past few weeks. The smells in particular have been the biggest on or off things for me. The boiler screen might be an issue of it (theoretically) not being easily accessible. I think it's just a standard commercial TV, though, so I don't actually know what its issue might be.
  15. See, I thought the same thing, except the blast of air there makes no sense, and it seems like an awfully convenient place to reuse the mechanism from the gag in Boo Blasters where the curtain opened to reveal the ghost holding a teddy bear. But maybe the blast of air is supposed to go with Hilda's wailing and is just mistimed? I feel like it's a bit troubling that more effects seem broken each weekend, and they don't seem to be getting fixed (i.e. the first boiler's TV screen).
  16. I do think they will need to find a way to change it up a little, but the storyline is fine as is IMO. They really need to add a few more voicelines/line variations for each character and change up the queue audio as well. It would also be really good to implement a "B Mode". I've noticed that the first furnace screen doesn't work in about 1/4 of the POVs I've seen from throughout the time it's been open. If anything is going to be changed for a potential Halloween/holiday overlay, you can add me to the list of people begging for Kings Island to use some of the original dialogue for it. Even if it's just an overlay during Haunt (keep the new stuff playing during Tricks & Treats) that would give the adults another fun thing to do if they don't want to pay to go through the mazes.
  17. I'm pretty sure the shoes behind the curtain is just supposed to be a spooky Easter egg, to do something with that gap there.
  18. I still haven't rode the ride yet, not until we make a trip to KI later this month. I've seen POVs but which character is having problems behind the curtain?
  19. I would say that the flashlight aspects of the ride help with its rerideability, but compared to some other parks all the KI dark rides have stuck around for a comparatively short time. I think if they changed up the audio for a holiday overlay that could extend the variety for the passholders who’d be riding this attraction frequently. Hopefully these characters become mainstays in the park, and in 10-15 years they choose to update the ride rather than making a 7th dark ride in that space. I haven’t seen this talked about much so I imagine most people won’t notice, but the onboard audio is different for every other car which I appreciate. And they are seemingly adjusting the audio so each car only hears it once. Hopefully by June the ride can be operating and it’s full potential (I still have no idea what’s going on with that character behind the curtain)
  20. Its sloppy and really just absolutely sick of AI being used everywhere. There is literally nothing good about AI that I can think of. I just want clean air, water, land and for people to use the thing between their ears.
  21. Which is also about last time Action Zone got significant attention outside of Banshee. 🤷🏼‍♂️
  22. While I agree with this analogy, I'd rather see them finish up that landscaped backyard before the brush comes in and takes over and then do a major refocus on AZ.
  23. The map "location" for that ride has changed from HB/ Nick/ PS to IS a few times over the years.
