  1. I'm a couple days behind on posting this, but for anyone curious, here is the video that they were playing on the side panels. And the posters that were displayed on the monitor as well. There was more concept art displayed on the monitor during the press announcement, but I wasn't able to get good pictures of it from where I was standing. Sorry! IMG_6602.mov
  2. These are some very quick sketches I made, but this is sorta how I’m predicting the entrance will look like. At this point, I’m not expecting them to massively demolish the whole facade and more so do a paint job and overlay to make it look different enough to recognize it’s a different attraction, but not anything major since I think a majority of the budget is going into the animatronics and theming. I didn’t want to draw it, but especially since they’re canonically ghosts at this point, I think a small detail to add that would go a long way is putting tombstones in the grassy section of land to the right on the entrance.
  3. Currently on the live cams, what I assume is some sort of ventilation or electrical work is going on. (Also for my last post I used ibispaint)
  4. I've been looking for clear footage of those monitors for days and this is by far the clearest I've seen them by far. Thanks Evan!

The price of $130 for an addition to the (largely free) event is cheaper than the price of 1 ticket to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, which starts at $169 and reaches a whopping $229 cost per person, not including tax. While the price is high, it seems to include an indoor VIP Lounge experience ($40 for one day at the outdoor lounge), unlimited drinks ($20 for the Single Day Drinks wristband), a special holiday dinner (around $50 at a restaurant outside the park), a midnight champagne toast, and views of International Street. That's at least a $110 value for an event that most will get into for free. If you add the $37 NYE online park ticket price on top of that, you get everything for less than the cost of one MVMCP ticket. Everyone can debate whether you actually get similar value out of each event elsewhere. I won't defend the park's pricing structure too much, but I feel like you can get your money's worth out of this limited seating special occasion Dinner Party. https://www.wdwmagic.com/events/mickeys-very-merry-christmas-party/news/16jul2025-2025-mickeys-very-merry-christmas-party-ticket-prices-full-breakdown-by-date.htm
  6. I actually really love this, animatronic theater shows are my favorite type of attraction and I’m sad that Kings Island never really had one (I don’t really count any of the action theater shows since they’re mostly movies). Absolutely with a phantom theater stage show, they’d have the bit where Garbonzo is shot out of the canon and shoots out to the back of the theater like Donald in Philarmagic. Semi related, but I always wondered what Phantom Theater would be like if they chose to build it in with Enchanted Voyage boat ride system (Flooded Theater?)

The From $130 means 130 will be the cheapest price. Last year Prestige pass holders paid $130. Sent from my SM-S936U using Tapatalk
  8. I think if they put up a marquee I'd rather see one like the original had, but there's a chance they could make this kind look good too. My other hope would be that they keep the pieces on top of the gates. Those add a little flair to the structure. What program did you use to make these?
  9. So IAAPA is officially over. I have scoured literally every social media platform possible to find more/better footage of the BTS videos and concept art shown in the presentation, but if anyone took any they haven’t shown it yet (If anyone on this forum took it please share) but here’s all the new info/my predictions I have after the event. -Rather than being an abandoned theater that the guests just happen to stumble into, I interpret the vibe now as more as a theater for phantoms and wandering spirits (think the original retirement home idea for the haunted mansion at Disneyland) -The original soundtrack is rescored and will be present in this version. I interpret this as being Maestro’s new composition he discusses “Terror Toccata in D Minor” (unless of course he’s taking credit for bach’s work) -The animatronics on display went through 3 different spiels, and I believe this is the setup we’ll see in the queue. However, I think the particular Maestro animatronic they used will be located at the finale to the ride as opposed to the queue, as this figure has full legs and a “bowing” movement. The Larry animatronic could be in the queue to show off how to use the flashlight, or at the very beginning if they changed from the concept art for the opening scene they showed off. At this point, I think Maestro on the organ is a scene they’ll save for the physical ride (I think in the first room where the graveyard is now), but I really love the dynamic between Larry, Maestro, and the guests they showed off, so I’m fine with that. But I think there will be more that they say in the actual queue, I’d say more of a 15-40 minute loop. - We saw new bts videos showing off the Boiler Men, Arpeggio, the vulture from The Beastie, and Willard being wrapped up (by the ghost notes I assume) into the mummy. -They showed off the flashlight technology, which I’m very curious to see how it works. I wonder if the scoring system will be off of points or how many ghost notes you capture. -The park promises more updates throughout the Winter, which at this point I sorta hope they don’t show off too much more of the ride. Overall very impressed with the event, we got more than I expected. Thank you sally dark ride and Kings Island.
  10. So now we have unified map styles, new websites, a potential look into new apps via the Carowinds app, and more unified pass systems throughout the merged Six Flags company. I'm still looking for the following changes and if they will ever happen: The Six Flags social media accounts to advertise both Legacy Cedar Fair and Legacy Six Flags parks and events. They currently have mostly Holiday in the Park advertising instead of equal HitP and Winterfest advertising. Updated mobile apps across the chain. I'm greatly hoping for individual park apps instead of one giant Six Flags app. Expanded FunPix and FunTV across the chain. Even just having them in all of the top core parks would be more than nothing. New branding that utilizes the corporate logo over the Legacy Six Flags logo. Having that change might help move the needle of people's feelings about Six Flags. This change would also be a visual marker on the fact that this is not your parent's Six Flags.

Totally agree. Tinkers back to FestHaus, swinging in showplace (or follies) and cool Yule back on the bandstand-shortened and more performances- would be ideal.
  12. Ten months later... The Carowinds mobile app has received a new look! It's definitely a mix between the Cedar Fair app base with some Six Flags app elements baked into the design. I think it looks good so far. It's still a little buggy, but I'm hoping we'll see some more apps updated/released within the next week or so. That might also mean the new websites might not be too far behind as well.
  13. New maps have been uploaded to the Six Flags app for all Legacy Six Flags parks! They look just like the newer Legacy Cedar Fair maps, though a couple of them look like they have a lot of production errors and aren't up to snuff with the rest of the maps. We saw some errors on the first versions of the new Cedar Fair maps (including that long-running gag of Viking Fury's queue/exit being placed wrong). Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags America appear to be the two worst offenders when it comes to errors. I personally also have an issue with how the icons are set up on the Six Flags app compared to the Cedar Fair apps. On the SF app they have it so the icons/list view take up most of the screen, and it is very clear that they just switched the map client on that app until they can release their new websites and app(s) later this year (I believe I heard someone say November?). Whenever those all come online I think I'll be a much happier camper. Everything looks even more jumbled and mismatched now than before, and I wish they could have at least found a way to make the Fright Fest event websites look more like the Haunt/HalloWeekends/SCarowinds/ValleyScare websites. I don't know how possible it would be to have copied/pasted most of the code over (or if that would mess with other things), but it's very noticeable if you go between the websites.
