WinterFest 2025 starts November 28th and runs through December 31st . Lets use this thread to discuss all things WinterFest 2025.

Hopefully this year Adventure Express is open for Winterfest it’s gonna suck not having boo blasters this year, hopefully next year, we’ll get to have a phantom theater Christmas

Might be my favorite time of year at the park. Looking forward to another fun holiday season at my favorite place!
  4. A couple mazes were changed this year, and some were improved. We even got a new maze this year! But my question is: Which was your favorite this year? My favorite was Order of the Dragon. I think it's a great maze addition, and hope to see more like this in the future!
  5. From thrills to heartfelt service, Dollywood does it right. Forbes names them a 2026 top company for customer service. https://themeparksbydon.com/dollywood-forbes-best-customer-service-2026/

I agree that we do lose an indoor ride for WinterFest this year but I'm glad by next year we should have PTON! I wonder what kind of new WinterFest merchandise we'll have this year!
  7. Anyone notice the Dollywood ad on one of the digital billboards along I-75 just north of town?

I hear that ice skate times may be reduced from 90 minute time frame to 30 minute slots to sell more. How can they logistically do this? By having people enter every thirty minutes during a 90 minute period and then zamboni it? How would they get group one and two off the ice? This is probably the biggest selling upcharge for the event, and probably one of those most expensive line items. If they screw this up, which corporate seems to have a nack for doing, WF could be a flop. If it's a flop, will they continue it? Are they purposely trying to sabotage things and get WinterFest off the table?

I hope we can see the event details released on Monday because I'm so excited for Winterfest!
  10. There might still be a decent amount of people in the park, just spread throughout it. The maze upcharge definitely helps the numbers too. I think they should keep Thursday Haunts at Kings Island.
  11. I'd welcome the orchestral music back in full force any day. I wonder if there's any chance the park would play instrumental patriotic music (like they have on Main Street 1776 at SFA) next year for the Quarter Millennial? Major props as well if they can figure out how to put more than 10 songs on a playlist that's supposed to play on repeat for 12-14 hours.
  12. I like the staggered seating for a few reasons. I am a big fan of the more open-aired feeling. Gives more of a sense of flying over the rails. I like that you have the option to sit directly next to someone or apart. The latter being more true if you're a solo rider and if ride crews are trying to fill seats you don't have to awkwardly sit next directly next to a stranger. I can see how both seating styles are relevant to the kind of coaster they are applied to, but I'm glad we have a hyper with a not so common seating arrangement. That's something I find pretty cool about our park. This also applies to Invertigo. While I know many of you are no fans of it, I for one am. And I like it more than a traditional boomerang because of the unique seating. I always choose to sit on one of the ends where I am not facing anyone, but the inverted seating makes for a more intense ride than a traditional boomerang.
  13. This particular display is almost definitely only for IAPPA. It could be used for a ride scene, but the stage lights and overall size are just about perfect for a convention booth display piece. The screen and surround reminds me of the one for Tinker's (RIP) as well.
