  1. Thought of the day: The IAAPA Expo is in about a month (November 18-21). For the past few years, Sally Dark Rides has had a booth, and typically they showcase work from their new projects (for example, they showcased the animatronics for the SpongeBob carnival ride and the haunted hotel before much material was available for those rides). I’d put an 80% of them showing something from Phantom Theater Opening Nightmare on display personally, I could see them maybe showing off the Maestro animatronic in the queue (assuming there is one because it would probably be the most advanced) or maybe something with the flashlight score system because that seems to be a unique thing to the US (we’re ignoring the monsters Inc ride that has the same thing). I’m also still thinking on Halloween we get a teaser or new concept art from Kings Island themselves, but who knows?
  2. I’m like half and half: I want to know enough to be excited for it (mostly what the characters look like so I can draw them tbh) but I don’t want to see any full scenes or like a ridethrough before opening day.
  3. I think it's unlikely that we'd see any walk-around characters in a spot near Peanuts characters or IP, mainly due to the seemingly stringent licensing agreement about what can be shown in the same areas as Peanuts IP. It's been said that Boo Blasters was always part of International Street because of this issue. They should definitely see about getting some characters out near the fountains or somewhere like that. Maybe they could go where the Takis trick or treat location is between Graeter's and Sweet Spot on the side of the Royal Fountain. A small set display could also go out there and get dressed up to look like the lobby or something similar. That way you'd be taking photos with characters in a setting instead of being with characters who are seemingly out of place.
  4. Am I only one that can't tell what is done by AI? I'm there for the content they provide. Always looks like KI's Eiffel Tower to me in the intro! Keep up the great work!
  5. BBOBH is not needed at CP....a new dark ride yes...just not BBOBH.
  6. A bit sad for our park, but I wish Chef Major all the best in his next chapter!
  7. Agreed. Unfortunately there are some areas where AI cannot be entirely avoided, but if one can avoid it, please do. Any and everything counts. AI data centers are absolutely awful for the environment as stated above and horrible for local communities who happen to be near a data center. And yes, the art theft is a real tragedy too. I really have nothing good to say about AI.
  8. Closest we might get: https://dafe.org/articles/darkrides/phantomPharewell.html Ha!
  9. Honestly same. I'd rather take the park being able to fire on all cylinders, delivering a top class experience and take a few years to get another large addition after next year. Especially if it means we get to refrain from any more ride removals. Allow them to invest in some theming upgrades/maintenance, more wonderful nighttime shows, cleaning/bathrooms, fully staffing rides, painting, landscaping, and more. I feel like the average guest can easily remember a terrible food or bathroom exprience as much as a great ride experience. I love Cedar Point but I have many bad memories of terrible times in bathrooms. Or getting food poisoning from a Chop Six at SFMM.
  10. I feel like this was (hopefully) the direction things were headed after the 50th Anniversary season. But with the current state of the chain and merger, who knows.
  11. I feel that, I haven't had such anticipation for a ride since Mystic Timbers.
