1. Not to mention that without all the micro-managing, many in the company may feel a bit more comfortable in their day to day jobs and decision making. I think it's safe to say that we can already see this in the PR departments.
2. I shared my 2010 music video of Kings Island and got some great feedback, so now I have the year of 2011 ready for wiweing. Some people asked for a song that was NOT a techno song, so you might like this one. Comments and constructive criticism are appreciated.
After a HUGE wait, we finally have our official brand NEW music video of Kings Island for the 2011 season. I think it turned out great and I am very happy with it. Enjoy shots of lots of great Kings Island rides and attractions.

Featured Artist: Newsboys
Featured Song: Something Beautiful (Describes Kings Island)

3. His guns kept him company and would not mock him.
4. This is actually how they're advertising this season: The four different Columbus Zoo "Adventures". Obviously, the Zoo is one, Zoombezi Bay is another, joined by Safari Gold Course (more an adventure for dad, but I digress) and The Wilds (the gigantic wildlife center in Cumberland, which is now under the zoo's management). The ads are great so far. Thank you! The pics were taken with my phone, as somebody didn't clear the card in our DSLR before we left. I'll again encourage everyone to consider a trip up to Columbus. It has the "charm", attention to detail, and cleanliness you'd normally only find at a Busch park.
5. Much like every comment ever made in any SOB thread. Including this one.

So you're saying that KIC is covered in santorum? I'm sorry, that was bad. I know, 5 minutes on the naughty chair...

You really had to create a new username and profile to post this and announce it to the group? Somehow I'm assuming that the park already knows that you are an unhappy former employee (I'm sure you are not the first and won't be the last either) and would not write postive things about your employment experience. But even if they knew you and your real screen name, I'm doubting they were going to go out of there way to read this and then find a way to make life difficult for you - even if you'd written it under that name. You talk about Etiquette - maybe the better etiquette in this situation would have been to say nothing.

To every person that has never worked for Kings Island, refrain from posting or replying to messages that will impact your employment with the park. For instance, do not say something like, "I heard this ride is being torn down or we are getting this new ride", if it has not been released by Kings Island's PR department. Do not give details or say anything that has been conveyed to you by your supervisors as it pertains to the Park's policies. We are monitored and people have lost their jobs for things they have posted. It is all detailed in your handbook and your employment paperwork that you are required to sign. The best way to handle this is to direct the people to call Kings Island guest services.
9. I totally agree with you on this. Unfortunately, it's a sign of the times in regards to society these days. People expect everybody else to do the work for them. Nobody likes to take the initiative anymore and do it themselves. I am completely different. I always try to find the information myself and only after exhausting all of my options and coming up empty would I actually call them up to ask about things such ticket prices or opening day. I don't know, I guess that's how I was raised. But I guess I'm part of a dying breed. And I'm not even that old!
10. I honestly just sit here and laugh at how amazing this is and... well we'll see whatever becomes of it but if it isn't at least published as a book of side-by-side frames, well... KI is leaving some easy money on the table! Edit to add: If I worked for the local Chamber of Commerce I would want it, especially for tourism advertisements and conventions and stuff.
11. I miss that giant compass on top of EV. It was such a nice touch.
12. Awesome Job on the Pictures. This is a Topic I look forward to every day. Having said that, I'll go against what alot of people are saying on here and say I'll go with the 74 pics on almost off of them simply because of the Lack of Trees! The park looked so New and well kept and not cluttered without all the dense foliage all over the place. Would have loved to have seen all the carefully trimmed hedges on International Street and going up the Eiffel Tower and looking off and seeing rides ad people insted of Trees! Not that I have anything against trees, but IMO, Its overkilled!
