	Maybe I’m tardy to the party but while riding WindSeeker today, I saw some structural work being done to a part of the backstage area outside of Area 72 near Orion.

	After having visited Kings Dominion last month and seeing the Candy Apple Grove area (the equivalent of Coney Mall at Kings Island), I really loved the charm it was giving and how, for the most part, it felt like a little carnival-ish/midway themed area. When coming back to Kings Island a few days after being at KD, I couldn't help but admit that I preferred Candy Apple Grove over Coney Mall. There are some parts of CM that feel like a classic theme park midway, specifically Coney Island. However, at CAG they have these giant candy apples with the land's logo printed on them sticking out of the ground up and down the midway. Plus you also have the singing mushrooms in that land, which just adds this level of quirkiness and charm that you can't help but respond to with a big smile on your face. You don't really see that level of charm while in CM, or at least I don't. I'm not saying that they should copy KD, but they should at least do something on a similar level. Here are some of my ideas.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Posters:</strong> Something that the park could possibly do would be putting vintage style posters around the CM that would advertise the different rides food options in that land. They could even be made by Made To Thrill. They already have a poster for The Racer, one for the Blue Ice Cream, and one for the Coney Mall area.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Color scheme:</strong> Another thing the park should do is give some of the buildings in CM a new color scheme. The one I think would look really cool would be a red and white (and maybe a little bit of blue) theme. They could paint red and white stripes on the top of the Dodgem building. The big letters on the arcade building that are currently white could be colored red, with the blue walls changed to white and would have a red outline.<img alt="kings-island-22.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="19163" data-ratio="53.30" data-unique="auxto1k6f" style="background-color: rgb( var(--theme-area_background_reset) ); color: rgb( var(--theme-text_color) ); height: auto;" width="1000" data-src="https://kic.datric.io/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_08/kings-island-22.jpg.ef29a6e4b539166e9af57ef1191e5f11.jpg" src="https://kic.datric.io/forums/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png">Think of something like in the image above, but <span style="background-color: rgb( var(--theme-area_background_reset) ); color: rgb( var(--theme-text_color) );">recolor the blue parts to red and put lights around the edges. They could also WindSeeker a red and white theme, and maybe redo the ride's logo to give a more carnival/midway feel to it.</span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Bring back the old entrance sign:</strong> For those who don't remember, there used to be a cool entrance gate that separated CM from Oktoberfest (now known as Adventure Port).<img alt="PKI-11-2-02-Coney-Mall.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="19164" data-ratio="73.27" data-unique="npy7rzb6l" style="height: auto;" width="550" data-src="https://kic.datric.io/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_08/PKI-11-2-02-Coney-Mall.jpg.11129c56749608af54c4e62c40a32a4c.jpg" src="https://kic.datric.io/forums/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png">I really can't think of any logical reason why the park even removed it in the first place. It looked so charming. During the Haunt season the park would even change the sign to read "Coney Maul."<img alt="ki1.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="19165" data-ratio="74.46" data-unique="lf9oixjk7" style="height: auto;" width="560" data-src="https://kic.datric.io/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_08/ki1.jpg.2521afcd42b40092db666be6d52c4307.jpg" src="https://kic.datric.io/forums/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png">It was so unique and charming. However, for some reason the park felt like they didn't need it anymore <img alt=":(" data-emoticon="true" height="20" loading="lazy" src="https://kic.datric.io/forums/uploads/emoticons/default_sad.png" srcset="https://kic.datric.io/forums/uploads/emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" title=":(" width="20">. I honestly think they should bring it back. Please tell me your thoughts on this part.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Vortex replacement:</strong> I'm gonna try to make this as short and as simple as I possibly can, since this subject has definitely been discussed a million times on this site. I honestly think the park should go with a Gerstlauer infinity coaster, like a miniature version of Hangtime at Knott's Berry Farm. Nothing too extreme, but not too tame either. Maybe a few inversions. If possible, a height requirement of 48 inches, since the park is missing a family coaster with inversions due to Vortex no longer being there. They could give it a cool light package to make it look very photogenic at night.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Backlot Stunt Coaster retheme:</strong> This idea is more of a maybe. If the park were to retheme BSC, I think they should make the ride vehicles look like vintage hot rods. Maybe the police cars that you pass by after the helix could be replaced with vintage cars with possible fake spectators standing on top of or peeking out from inside, watching and cheering you on. They could also repaint the helicopter to look like a news chopper that is trying to capture the race live, or a police chopper telling you that you've entered a dangerous restricted area and that you need to leave immediately, only to get interrupted by some explosions, resulting in your vehicle making an escape into the sewers. You would still come out of the giant billboard, but now there would be a camera on the que line bridge that would take a picture of you as you're busting out of the billboard. Depending on why they removed it, they could bring back the splashdown effect that the ride used to have during the first few years it was open. However, I currently don't think it's mandatory to make BSC fit with the style/theme of CM.
</p>

<p>
	That's all the ideas I currently have in terms of a retheme of CM. Please let me know what you think of all of this and if you have any suggestions.<span style="background-color: rgb( var(--theme-area_background_reset) ); color: rgb( var(--theme-text_color) );">span widget</span><span style="background-color: rgb( var(--theme-area_background_reset) ); color: rgb( var(--theme-text_color) );">span widget</span>

<p>
	Recently, parks have been theming their rides to the nearby cities and regions. We see this with Steel Curtain, Copperhead Strike, Fury 325 (loosely), Kentucky Flyer (loosely) etc. If a future coaster were to come to KI, would you want it themed to something in the southwestern Ohio region and if so what would theme it to?
</p>

<p>
	You could argue Orion is themed to Ohio becaue of space exploration, Ohioan Neil Armstrong, and the Air and Space museum in Dayton but that hasn't been confirmed by the park.
</p>

<p>
	Banshee also has some Cincinnati ties with it being a creature of Irish folklore and Cincinnati having Irish immigrants years ago.

</p>

<p>
	With the fact that the legacy Cedar Fair Peanuts license expires at the end of this year and isn’t removed (and that peanuts merch was put on sale at the park recently) some people have talked about snoopy and the peanuts leaving the park in favor of the Looney Tunes. He’s my ideas for a looney tunes area in the park.
</p>

<p>
	Here’s my ride name replacement suggestions (although it really doesn’t matter which character goes to what ride for the most part)
</p>

<p>
	Charlie Brown’s Windup- Gossamer Ghoul Spin
</p>

<p>
	Joe Cool’s Dodgem School- Michigan J. Frog Dancing School
</p>

<p>
	Woodstock Express- Bug’s Bunny Express (Or Beastie if you want a throwback, but it wouldn’t fit with the rest of the theming)
</p>

<p>
	Snoopy vs Red Baron- Foghorn Leghorn’s Flight School
</p>

<p>
	Woodstock Whirlybird- Daffy Duck Helicopter Tours
</p>

<p>
	Character Carousel- Remains the same basically
</p>

<p>
	The Great Pumpkin Coaster- Elmer’s Opera (Theming based on the What’s Opera Doc? short)
</p>

<p>
	Surf-Dog- Duck Dodgers: Galactic Adventure
</p>

<p>
	Peanuts Off-Road Rally- Looney Tunes Road Rage
</p>

<p>
	Snoopy’s Junction- Bugs Bunny Express
</p>

<p>
	Linus’ Beetle Bugs- Lola’s Lady Bugs
</p>

<p>
	Snoopy’s Space Buggies- Marvin The Martian’s Space Buggies
</p>

<p>
	Kite Eating Tree- Sylvester’s Tree House
</p>

<p>
	Franklin’s Flyers- Taz’s Tornado Twirl
</p>

<p>
	Snoopy’s Soapbox Racers- Road Runner Run | Theming remains the same with Acme crates and supplies placed around the ride area. With the audio system, I can definitely see the “meep meep” sound effect being played when you reach the deadend track.
</p>

<p>
	Woodstocks Airrail- Tweety Bird Flight
</p>

<p>
	Charlie Brown’s Rushing River Log Ride- Kenton’s Cove Keelboat Canal | Only ride I’m not connecting to the Looney Tunes branding, the name being a reference to a legacy attraction. Ride remains the same except for removal of peanuts sculptures.
</p>

<p>
	Sally’s Sea Plane- Porky’s Bus Ride
</p>

<p>
	Linus Launcher- Tasmanian Twister
</p>

<p>
	Boo Blasters on Boo Hill- Stays the same. Just kidding, if you know me you know I’m gonna suggest Phantom Theater 2!
</p>

<p>
	Peanut Showcase Theater- Looney Tunes Theater | Inside is refurbished into a small theater that plays Looney Tunes shorts on loop throughout the day (a indoor break attraction that requires minimal staffing)
</p>

<p>
	Beagle Scout Acres- Rethemed to Bugs Bunny Burrows
</p>

<p>
	<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="https://kic.datric.io/forums/uploads/monthly_2025_08/Untitled5374_20250806143352.png.fff638fa783736f409b3a2b5e13958ab.png" data-fileid="21122" data-fileext="png" rel=""><img class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="21122" data-ratio="53.40" data-unique="p53jpw63u" width="1000" alt="Untitled5374_20250806143352.png" data-src="https://kic.datric.io/forums/uploads/monthly_2025_08/Untitled5374_20250806143352.thumb.png.5ec98cd400745335635c6944272a8081.png" src="https://kic.datric.io/forums/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></a>
</p>

<p>
	Really I’d feel indifferent to any retheme of the children’s area since I’m physically unable to ride 80% of the rides. The only rides I feel like this would really benefit would be Soapbox Racers since I can see the road runner theme working really well for that and I also like the idea of a movie theater since I love attractions like that at parks. Also my only gripe with the current snoopy theming is the generic pop music in the land, I’d love for them to make it more cartoon specific.
</p>

<p>
	Even though I mostly grew up on the snoopy theming, basically all the themes of the kids area has just been “[B-Tier Cartoon Character’s] crazy spinner”, so to me as long as the kids are having fun it doesn’t cheapen the park if the looney tunes theming is added to this location (Which is not the case for me if DC was given a retheme of a current area, even if its Action Zone)
</p>

<p>
	I do wonder what the logistics of this would be considering the Peanuts license expires without renewal this year. I think on its own, considering that the peanuts branding is admittedly minimal, it’s a project that could easily be completed in the offseason and for cheap considering they could keep all the rides (plus added bonus if boo blasters is getting/was planning to get a redo in the 2026 season), but when this projects being done to 8 or so parks, I wonder if this would be feasible for Six Flags to do versus what it would cost to renew the Peanuts’ license. I would love the kids area to be like the Sesame Street lands at Seaworld parks or any of the Disney or Universal kids lands, where families can ride a lot of attractions together, but also like obviously I’d prefer that since I won’t be riding Peanuts Off-Road Rally as it is (believe me I tried many many times)<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="https://kic.datric.io/forums/uploads/monthly_2025_08/Untitled5376_20250806145441.png.dcf62ecfd894738eac200e6ab97e6303.png" data-fileid="21123" data-fileext="png" rel=""><img class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="21123" data-ratio="56.30" data-unique="0cptsx5we" width="1000" alt="Untitled5376_20250806145441.png" data-src="https://kic.datric.io/forums/uploads/monthly_2025_08/Untitled5376_20250806145441.thumb.png.bc556c032b30db746cf8706e6e60bcab.png" src="https://kic.datric.io/forums/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></a>

	I was thinking with the new Food and Wine Festival area going in over near the Grand Carousel, it would be nice to see Intenational Street get some updates again, making it an even more grand area than it already is. This idea shows that the area behind the Eiffel Tower on the left that's empty can be used for 2 new International Street buildings, they would represent either Poland, Sweden or the UK. Kings Island would also update the path under and around the Eiffel Tower with new pavers, getting rid of the blacktop.  I'm sure they already have plans for the next few years, so this could be done for the parks 60th anniversary in 2032, if it is too big a project to do in one year, they could do one for the 2031 season, and the other in 2032.
</p>

<p>
	1. Yellow shows the new area for the buildings to be built. One of them can be a new restaurant, the other can be a new gift shop.

<p>
	2. Purple shows the new Food and Wine Festival area that is being worked on now.

	We all know it's long overdue for Soak City to receive some love with the last addition being Tropical Plunge in 2016. I decided to dream up an expansion idea that would be Soak City's largest expansion in years. I based it off of recent CF trends with waterpark additions as well as something new and unique for the area. Here's are what the numbers mean:
</p>

<p>
	1) Twisted Pipeline: a White Water West slidewheel. The second in America. The only other one being Medusa's Slidewheel at Mt Olympus. The ride I used for the overlay is one at Chimelong Waterpark in China. Let me say it fits really well and would be very unique for the park
</p>

<p>
	2) Little Miami cliffs: a cliff jumping experience similar to Mountain Bay cliffs at Canada's Wonderland. Guests would have 3 different levels to jump from
</p>

<p>
	3) Miami River Lookout Landing: a large multi story play structure more than twice the size as the other one (splash landing) would feature more thrilling slides, 2 large buckets, multiple dumping/splashing equiptment that would make for a very fun experience for people all ages.
</p>

<p>
	4) Little Miami waves: a kids wave pool with smaller waves for those who aren't quite ready for the large waves of Tidal Wave Bay.
</p>

<p>
	Both the play structure and mini wave pool would replace the current smaller wave pool like KD did for Coconut Shores
</p>

<p>
	5) Beach Street: a food truck inspired dining location with multiple food offerings like walking tacos, pizza, seafood, etc as well as a stage with live music on select days in the summer just like KD. Would replace the current pirate ship play structure. However, the additions of the mini wave pool and bigger play structure would make up the loss of that.
</p>

<p>
	Remember, this is just a concept. Nothing has been confirmed by the park, but this was fun to make and it took a while which is why I'm releasing this at almost 2 in the morning lol.
</p>

<p>
	Here's the picture. Enjoy and let me know your thoughts!
</p>

	Many people on here have been talking about bringing back the Phantom Theater to replace Boo Blasters. And I believe it’s the way to go. With how Boo Blasters has had its blasters no longer make noise for years, I don’t think they have plans to keep Boo Blasters around forever. The idea of Boo Blasters was always just a retooling to replace the Scooby Doo elements that were in the Scooby Doo and The Haunted Mansion that was rethemed into it. A pretty cheap way to create a IP with the stuff they could keep from Scooby Doo. Cedar Fair attempted to become somewhat known for dark rides in the last decade though that didn’t get too far. Bringing back Phantom Theater would be a huge sell for Kings Island. The marketing, the merchandise, potentially Phantom Theater treats, so many possibilities. And they don’t have to recreate the original Phantom Theater. They could tie in the new version with the original as well as Phantom Theater Encore, telling us of what happens after Encore. As a fiction writer who has written around 3 million words of fiction, I know very well the different directions in storytelling they can go with.
</p>

<p>
	My concept for a Phantom Theater revival is to have it set after Encore, in which something changes in the spirit world. After the Phantom Theater returns for its encore, demand from both the living and the dead causes someone to bring back the Phantom Theater, reopening it to the public somehow and ushering in a new era for it. The living owners of the building housing the returned Phantom Theater would have ties to Kings Island’s storyline really set up by both Area 72 and Adventure Express’s refurbishment 2 years ago. The storyline connects Flight of Fear, Orion, The Beast, Mystic Timbers, and more already. They could go with a story that some people connected to the Miami River Company saw the Phantom Theater return only to vanish again and tried to break the curse that keeps the Phantom Theater from only returning once every 50 years and they contact possibly CHAOS Labs or even Madame Fatale to see about doing something about the curse because of all the smiling faces who enjoyed the Phantom Theater when they saw it too.
</p>

<p>
	Eventually, they overcome the hurtles required to bring it back and contact the spirit world in order to aid in making that happen. And riders would experience the grand reopening of the Phantom Theater, rather than just an Encore. All new scenes and animatronics would show a performance filled with more energy than ever before and even introducing new elements such as some featuring Larry, naturally. I was born after the original ride closed so I never got to ride it sadly but still, the dream for enhancing Kings Island to make it even more fun would involve Phantom Theater’s revival as a key project. But they can go even further. They can tie in more things that already exist along with a revived Phantom Theater into the storyline for Kings Island. That includes the haunted houses. But will a Phantom Theater revival actually happen? Not for a while. Between the merger and all the cost cutting measures lately and the elimination some positions in Six Flags this year, I doubt they will be focusing on it any time soon. That said, many dark rides are cheaper than a big steel roller coaster like Diamondback, Banshee, or Orion. And they already have the building, ride vehicles, and omnimover system. Personally, if I were in charge of Kings Island’s future direction, I would heavily emphasize the art of storytelling, something that appeals to all ages and demographics.<br />

</p>

<p>
	Such storytelling would also include turning Soak City into something more unique in theme, likely dividing the water park into areas themed to various bodies of water. You could make the case for retheming it around Ohio itself given the Ohio River and Lake Erie. Let me know what y’all think about my concept. The backstory I propose isn’t perfect in my perspective. It’d be better to introduce some new faces who have nothing to have with Area 72 or the Miami River Lumber Company who are nerds really into the supernatural.

	Oh boy, I'm going to get flag all over again... but yea I think my hopeful ride in K.I. inside the Crypt building is probably gonna happen next year. Not saying it's true or not. But with Mike Koontz saying that he will evanescently and for Vekoma to show that they're working on the next Madhouse in this video on that time frame. <a href="https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx4muIHXPpASWKjC7BRmwZbJy-2KRQD5u-" rel="external nofollow">https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx4muIHXPpASWKjC7BRmwZbJy-2KRQD5u-</a> I think Kings Island will finally get one of these, and I do have evidence to show if it happens.
</p>

<p>
	1. Vekoma is starting to resurge to America after a long time. Started off with their Family Suspended coaster, with Circuit Breaker and Big Bear Mountain, I could see the possibility that Cedar Fair will hop on the Band Wagon and add one of these to the park, and for Kings Island to finally have a chance to ask for a Vekoma Madhouse for there park.
</p>

<p>
	2. Madam Fatales been inside that building for a decade, Kings Island needed to replace that maze with something else. Mike Koontz wanted to see that building to house a new ride inside. The Madhouse can easily fit inside without even striping or tearing down the building, and can decorate the outside to make it fit in River Town. Which brings me to evidence 3.
</p>

<p>
	3. That building was design to build a flat ride even if the walls are up. You can thank Paramount on this one, They manage to build a Huss Giant Top Spin inside to hide what they're building. You can do the same with a Madhouse. They might dig a few feet under to fit the Motors that spin the house upside down, and pour new concrete for the support of the Room and Gondola and electrical wirings, but they could manage it.
</p>

<p>
	4. The last evidence is that it will be a people eater like a B&amp;M coaster. With Pre-shows and even more theming, it can easily bring and move riders in this ride. Every Madhouse must have a Pre-show or shows to tell what is going on, and importantly to make sure that it doesn't delay the ride for it. And even more cool is that it has no minimum height for kids to ride, But they're will be a minimum height for guest to ride alone, somewhere around 48' inches. But it will not only bring all the family to ride, but also can give kid a chance to ride some of the rides that goes upside down. Being a illusion ride, it can give the kids a head start on going upside down before the real deal.<br>
	<br>
	5. Need I said that Snoopy's Soap Box Racers has a package deal for Kings Island.
</p>

<p>
	That's all the evidence that I think a Vekoma Madhouse might come next year. If I'm wrong don't rant about it, after all it's just my prediction. But you can post your opinions or ideas in reply. Thanks for reading and remember my catchphrase. "Keep the Madhouse WILD!"

	They have rethemed Back Lot to a Cincinnati theme which ties into Coney. Vortex replacement should be a Wing coaster called the Flying Pig. It would have white wings and a pig head at the front of each train. The trains/pigs could have Cincinnati related names. Maybe put a replica of the Fountain Square fountain near by with pigs as the figures.

	I've been thinking alot about the shear amount of possibilities that the park has to go for in the coming years. The more I think about it, the more I realize there is just so much that they could do that I don't even think it would be possible to do them all within this decade without having more possibilities pop up. I have made 3 categories that I think would be possible in the near future (2-4 years), future (5-7 years), and beyond (7+ Years). <em><strong>Each bullet point is in no particular order.</strong></em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#e74c3c;"><u><em><strong>Disclaimer: THESE ARE NOT MY PREDICTIONS, THESE ARE MY OBSERVATIONS AND THOUGHTS FORMED USING BASIC LOGIC AND POPULAR GUEST AND ENTHUSIAST OPINIONS. AGAIN, THESE ARE NOT MY PREDICTIONS OR WISH LIST</strong></em></u></span>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<strong><span style="font-size:20px;">Near future (2-4 Years)</span></strong>
</p>

<ul><li>
		Vortex plot roller coaster or area rejuvenation
		<ul><li>
				Could include a Backlot overhaul or retheme
			</li>
			<li>
				Likely will be a new roller coaster in the plot but could add more to the area
			</li>
		</ul></li>
	<li>
		 Soak City addition / overhaul
		<ul><li>
				Soak City is in need of a new attraction and has been for many years especially with the recent attraction removal
			</li>
			<li>
				Some have speculated an overhaul of the waterpark which could rename it entirely and give it a retheme
			</li>
		</ul></li>
	<li>
		Phantom Theatre return
		<ul><li>
				With the park running the Phantom Theatre show from last year again this year, it really poses the question about it's reappearance. Many have speculated that it could be re-added to replace the rapidly aging boo blasters
			</li>
		</ul></li>
	<li>
		Action Zone ride removal
		<ul><li>
				It has been said many, many times that there is a high chance that either Invertigo, Congo Falls, or both could be removed soon. While I am hesitant to place this in the near future category, I went ahead and did it anyway under the stipulation that it would be going to bring an Action Zone retheme with it in the year(s) following.
			</li>
		</ul></li>
	<li>
		More GG Beast retracking / reprofiling
		<ul><li>
				Many have speculated that The Beast still needs some more track work done in more sections of the ride and that it will come soon
			</li>
		</ul></li>
	<li>
		Banshee Repaint
		<ul><li>
				Banshee is one of the only remaining rides that is in dire need of repainting. Many speculate that it is only a matter of time before it gets it's much needed repaint
			</li>
		</ul></li>
	<li>
		Blue Racer Retracking
		<ul><li>
				<span style="color:#2ecc71;">Confirmed by the park</span>
			</li>
		</ul></li>
</ul><p>
	<strong><span style="font-size:20px;">Future (5-7 Years)</span></strong>
</p>

<ul><li>
		Action Zone overhaul
		<ul><li>
				Action Zone is in dire need of large scale rejuvenation.
			</li>
			<li>
				Depending on what may be removed would determine the scale and future of the site in terms of new attractions and the overall infrastructure
			</li>
		</ul></li>
	<li>
		Planet Snoopy overhaul
		<ul><li>
				Similar to Action Zone, Planet Snoopy currently could use some TLC, not to the scale of Action Zone but still something based on most people's feedback and thoughts.
			</li>
			<li>
				Many opinions seem divided on keeping it Planet Snoopy or making it camp snoopy
			</li>
		</ul></li>
	<li>
		Tomb Raider Building
		<ul><li>
				Could be demolished
			</li>
			<li>
				Could be used
			</li>
			<li>
				Nobody knows
			</li>
			<li>
				I certainly don't know
			</li>
			<li>
				But whatever it is
			</li>
			<li>
				It could be done in the next
			</li>
			<li>
				5-7 years
			</li>
			<li>
				The building is a complete mystery
			</li>
		</ul></li>
</ul><p>
	<strong><span style="font-size:20px;">Beyond (7-8 Years)</span></strong>
</p>

<ul><li>
		A King Cobra or Son of Beast resurrection
		<ul><li>
				With Cedar Fair's recent focus on nostalgia and being that SoB and KC were beloved rides at the park (well at least for most KC was), there is a high chance that the next new roller coaster after The Vortex replacement could be a resurrection of one of these rides
				<ul><li>
						King Cobra would likely be a B&amp;M Surf
					</li>
					<li>
						Son of Beast could be:
						<ul><li>
								GCI Titan track based ride (Ex: Zambezi Zinger)
							</li>
							<li>
								Ground up RMC
							</li>
						</ul></li>
				</ul></li>
		</ul></li>
	<li>
		End of Life for a ride
		<ul><li>
				With the age and costs associated along with other factors, there is believed to be a high chance that one or two of the following rides are removed: (Remember, this is 7-10 years out)
				<ul><li>
						The Bat (With it's recent issues, it could have a shorter lifespan)
					</li>
					<li>
						Flight of Fear
					</li>
					<li>
						Surf Dog
					</li>
				</ul></li>
		</ul></li>
</ul><p>

	Hello KI Central! My name is Alex Cutler, and I'm the main journalist covering Kings Island for the Dayton Daily News and the Journal-News.
</p>

<p>
	Now that the main season is over for Kings Island, and now that we know we're getting RiverRacers for 2025, I want to know what fans of the park either want or expect the park to add over the next few years.
</p>

<p>
	Are you hoping for an Intamin blitz coaster like Pantheon? Maybe something new from Vekoma or B&amp;M? Do you want something in The Vortex plot, or out in the Action Zone area of the park? These suggestions can be as realistic or as wild as you'd like. Maybe you think Kingda Ka will get relocated to Kings Island after its (rumored) closing.
</p>

<p>
	Be as creative or detailed as you like! Feel free to respond to this post with your suggestions
</p>

<p>
	Thank you for your time!

	I'm curious about the future development of Kings Island and would love to hear your thoughts on what each section of the park might need by the end of the decade.<br>

</p>

<p>
	What improvements or additions would you like to see in areas like rides, attractions, dining, infrastructure, and guest services?
</p>

<p>
	Do you think there will be a new section added to the park? If so, what kind of theme or attractions would you hope for?

	With the announcement of <em>Adventure Por</em><em>t</em>, our beloved Adventure Express is set to open  with “enhanced theming” in 2023. While no details have been released, I’m sure there are a number of different show elements that we’d love to see brought back up to snuff. <br>

</p>

<p>
	This could include:
</p>

<p>
	- The return of the “Station Master/Outpost 5” audio that used to play in the queue and station
</p>

<p>
	- The return of various jungle sound effects that were included throughout the beginning ride
</p>

<p>
	- Updated show scene and lighting elements in all of the tunnels
</p>

<p>
	- A refresh of the final lift hill with functioning effects and upgraded audio

<p>

</p>

<p>
	What do you think? Is there anything in particular that you do/do not want to see?

<p>
	Hello KIC members. We are happy to announce that Kings Island has greenlighted our project "Kings Island: 50 Years of Memories". We know many of you are thinking right now "Wait, Kings Island hasn't been open for 50 years?" and you are correct. In order for our project to be completed in time for the premiere in the Spring of 2022, we must get things started. Making a film can be a long tedious process. The distinction of our documentary is the backdrop will comprise of home movies provided by past employees, industry leaders, and park guests. Many of these old clips are 8mm and Super 8 film that will be restored to the highest quality possible and upscaled to current standards. This type of restoration is a long and detailed process as we go frame by frame.  Kings Island is very excited about this project just as we are. We hope you will share this information with friends and family who grew up going to Kings Island.

<p>
	Would it be out of line to want a 3rd drop ride that's in between Drop Tower and the Kite Eating Tree? Instead of something like Drop Tower which is slow and builds up suspense, how about a series of towers around 150ft that just launches riders up right out of the gate? Would that be repetitive or stand out enough to coexist with the other two drop rides in the park?

<p>
	Kings Island has many holes in its lineup. Not a single spinner, ejector machine, inversion focused sit down, or and intense launch. As of now, I’m guessing there are a few contenders for the next coaster:
</p>

<p>
	S&amp;S free spin (bigger model)
</p>

<p>
	S&amp;S hyper (Steel Curtain)
</p>

<p>
	Mack multilaunch
</p>

<p>
	Mack spinner
</p>

<p>
	B&amp;M Dive
</p>

<p>
	B&amp;M wing
</p>

<p>
	RMC hybrid ground up
</p>

<p>
	There’s pros and cons to each. The free spin isn’t a groundbreaking ride and could be seen as the same thing as SFGAM’s Joker, but is cheap, don’t take up a ton of space, and are good rides. The hyper isn’t reliable but isn’t like anything in the area. The multi launch is very expensive but has a good ROI and a good ride. The spinner doesn’t have a ton of cons, but I don’t see them adding it. The dive could be seen as a Valravn ripoff as well as the wing with GateKeeper, but they’re GP magnets. RMC would be an enthusiast magnet, but I doubt CF works with RMC for a little bit. What are your thoughts?

	What sort of chance is there that this notorious building is reused for another roller coaster? Given the track layout of Banshee, it seems to me that the only way this relic could see use again would be after The Bat has given its last ride. It just seems bizarre to me that they've left it sitting there as an eerie reminder this long without the intention of some sort of reallocation, not to mention that there's still plenty of Lion Country Safari land available close by. I'm curious what sort of changes would have to be made to give the structure new life. We all know too well the prospect of the infamous coaster's resurrection. I'm just wondering if the old station is even capable of housing a 'reboot' or original ride at this point. I know not what sort of natural decay has occurred to the site over the past decade.

	Hey Yall!
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	It's that time of the year again. The 2022 and 2023 additions and improvements notice has been filed with Warren County. Please see below for the first page of the document.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	What stands out to everyone so far? Obviously, the big standout here, for me, is once again B&amp;M. We saw them listed on the 2018 notice and that ended up being Orion (announced in 2019). This time around though, I think it is very possible this could be maintenance work and maybe not so much a new ride. Of course, the possibility will always be there.
</p>

<p>
	Let's Discuss!
</p>

	Each owner has contributed a coaster to the kids area of the park except for Cedar Fair. Do you think we’ll see a new kids/family coaster come to Planet Snoopy and if so what kind? <br>

</p>

<p>
	I don’t think it’ll happen unless they demolish Peanuts Playhouse and utilize that whole space but even I’m not sure they’d want to have something built right next to Picnic Grove where they host a lot of events.
</p>

<p>
	Thoughts?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	(I said 4th/5th because some people consider Surf Dog a coaster while others do not)
